  1. - Tag a may not have attribute rel
  2. - If you are copying from a word processing software, try pasting the text into a plain text editor (e.g., Notepad) first.
  3. - If problems persist, try disabling the WYSIWYG editor in your preferences

WTF is this ****!?

I can't even make a damn thread withthout this crap appearing!

This is unacceptable!!!! :x

Yes it could...then again it could also be the next Dream Cast.

lordlors

Do people even know why DC failed?

:?

Wasn't it because of the intense competition by Sony's Playstation 2? EA also abandoned support for DC, is this correct?

Sega was in deep financial **** before that. Sony just put the last nail in their coffin, that's all.

And yeah, they did lose alot of support too.

Dude... I was going to read your OP but then I read your forum nick first... yea...... I dig your point but something tells me this is leaning towards "sheep revolution" :|

Joedgabe

Thank you for your meaningful addition to this thread.

Graphics = Gameplay... and vice-versa

If there wasnt any graphics.. we would all still be playing tetris but with different shapes.

g0ddyX

I guess you didn't read the OP at all.

I never said graphics aren't important or they need to stop advancing. I said other things in gaming need to be given some priority because they are lagging behind due to the big focus on graphics at THIS TIME. I'm talking about NOW. So I don't know why you're bringing Tetris into it. I'm pretty sure we've been capable of more than just Tetris for a long time.

So your point really meant nothing.

There used to be a time when I could look at a PC game vs a console game or a PC game on low/medium vs high/max and immediately see the big difference but now...not so much

Let's face it people, graphics have gotten to a point where it's mostly about small details and the average consumer isn't going to be staring at textures and other **** like that.

While you people fight over these things, things like Ai, physics and animation are woefully behind graphics.

I long for the gen when devs give these things more priority and gamers start fighting over which games have the best Ai, physics and animation instead.

What's the point of more detailed worlds and such if the characters move like crap, things are so static interaction is limited (imagine fully/semi-destructible environments in GTA V!) and AI don't react to your actions in the game world as well as they should (seriously, I hunger for better AI, especially in open world games).

Now, I'm not saying graphics aren't important, or that we should stop advancing them, but FFS there are other important things being left out of the spot-light.

Am I going to have to wait until graphics hit a huge wall and devs have no choice but to prioritise these things?

I mean, sure UC does animation well and BF3 (and that other game) pushes destructible environments but c'mon...

Does anyone else feel this way? Or am I all alone here...

[QUOTE="ChikaraShref"] that may be, but many people who dont follow the industry closely are very confused by its name. and many are confused as to whether its just a new controller or not. the name is too general and doesn't tell then enough.ChikaraShref

People who don't follow the industry are hardly aware of a console that is a year away from launch.

maybe, but i'm still referring to gamers. if they don't know anything about it by now, thats bad on the name.

Good thing it has another E3 and probably a couple of events early next year before it launches then.

This year was a pre-reveal and next year is the full reveal.

Gamers who don't follow E3 couldn't be confused wether it's a controller or a new console since their source of news, the mass media, reported it as being a new console after E3.

The name was also clearly explained at the E3 event.

I'd say the biggest problem is the name. How do you not sound like a dumbass when saying Wii U?

ChikaraShref

Think about it, PlayStation and Xbox (and 360, let's not forget Vita) are not awesome names either, but you know what? We got used to them.
