With great power, comes great...flaws.
Seriously, if you want a powerful handheld , some sacrifices will have to be made.
The only real question now is can Vita be as successful as PSP was.
It obviously won't beat 3DS.
I don't expect 3DS to sell as much as DS although it will have very good sales but for Vita I'm not sure how sales will end up. We'll just have to see.

it is nostalgia, sorry to tell you that, I know it hurts but without nostalgia nintendo wouldnt be here, you didnt played OoT when it was released (or before TP) so you were not nostalgia struck, thats why you thought OoT was outdated...you thinking that TP was a good game is just your terrible taste talking.
lightleggy
The guy is allowed to have his own opinion on a game. Someone with a Little Pony avatar shouldn't be telling someone else they have terrible taste by the way.
Also, without constant high quality games, Nintendo wouldn't be here. I guess since nostalgia is responsible for their success, they shouldn't bother to make good games anymore.
I can bet you 100 bucks you have never watched a single full episode of FiM. at least I have played and beaten most of nintendo's main tittles. and LOL nintendo has not made quality games for a long time, they are a lazy dev who recycles concepts and still somehow releases every game in like 3 years intervals (even though they could easily be released yearly)
My opinion on that show is that it is ****.
So you liking it means you have terrible taste. That's how it works right?
And many, many people will disagree with your (wrong) opinion that Nintendo doesn't make high quality games anymore.
Especially after they basically carried their console almost all by themselves this gen.

1. You can never know if a person is affected by nostalgia or not unless he/she is your close friend. I doubt any SW dwellers here are close friends in RL.
2. Not every Nintendo fan grew up with Nintendo. I didn't grow up with them. I grew up with PC gaming along with Blizzard and the others. I started gaming with Nintendo just this gen and except for Mario, Pokemon, and Kirby, i was unfamiliar with their franchises. Twilight Princess is actually the first Zelda game i've played. After having played Ocarina of Time 3D, I felt it really was outdated and TP was far superior but most fans will criticize me over this and i would say i'm unaffected by nostalgia.
3. Having played the older games of the series can also downplay your enjoyment of the game. For example, I haven't played OoT when it came out. I played TP for my first Zelda game. I consider TP superior over OoT. People who have played OoT in the past however will likely say TP didn't innovate much and OoT is still superior in overall design but this is most probably because they have played OoT when it came out for the first time which may mean it's because of nostalgia. Therefore, it can be argued that without nostalgia TP is superior over OoT. If a GS reviewer who has never played a Zelda game before reviews TP or SS, i'm gonna bet it's gonna get a 9.0 or 9.5 or maybe even a 10. In this case, you could actually use the nostalgia argument against a reviewer who scored the game low.
3. Nostalgia doesn't mean it's an outdated mechanic or formula. If it's a tried and true formula for fun, then there should be nothing wrong about that. Nintendo may use fairly the same formulas but actually there's lots of changes in their game irregardless of how you perceive them.

[QUOTE="Wii-U4Fun"]Change that to 1996 and you have a point.Nintendo, doomed since 1977.

Started before that.

Yeah the other versions do not quite hold up as well... Especially the technically superior Xbox version. I guess having Link in the game really makes up for the technical aspects of the game compared to the Xbox version because Zelda is the best right?

Who's GJ? Me?
GJ = Good Job
Not you.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being the most powerful console next gen. All those Wii profits can allow for some costlier hardware and I think Nintendo wants the best variety and ability for all developers.foxhound_fox
What? That's not possible.
MS and Sony will launch after Nintendo.
Plus I very much doubt Nintendo is trying to be 'graphics king' or jump back into the arms race.
They just want sufficient hardware for next gen ports while differentiating themselves with that super awesome controller.
Plus the most I could see them lanching at is $350, with $300 as the minimum.
