Still not feeling Bayonetta

I've been playing "Bayonetta" since Sunday afternoon, and I'm still not seeing where all the hype is coming from on this game. I enjoyed "Darksiders" a heck of a lot more than "Bayonetta" but all the reviews I've read all say that the game is "amazing." Unfortunately, I don't see things that way. I've been giving the game a chance for three days now and I asked myself this morning why I continue to torture myself with the game. I guess I hope that eventually the estranged storyline will begin to make sense, but I don't think the gameplay is going to get any better. For everyone that writes rave reviews about this game, I can see a little of what they are getting excited about, but for the most part, I find the game seriously lacking.

Kind of short!

Well, after only having the game for about a week and putting in about 18 hours. I can officially say that I've beat "Darksiders." While I look forward to going back and playing through again at a higher difficulty to finish of the trophies, I must say that I'm glad I didn't pay $59.99 for a game that is beaten so quickly. Not to say that I won't look to buy it when the price drops, just for kicks.

Darksiders

"Darksiders" arrived in my mailbox around noon yesterday, and I hit it pretty hard for a few ours. My initial thoughts were "COOL!" I enjoyed the opening storyline and was intrigued with the biblical ties that lay in the undercurrent of the story. The game play took a little getting use to, but you can adapt rather quickly. The story moves on at a pretty good pace and sometimes slows down a bit when you encounter some of the games "puzzles" in order to continue. Battling some of the bigger enemies require a bit of strategy and the boss battles are pretty intense. The supporting cast of characters fit well into the storyline and sometimes give you a bit of a laugh. I've only put in about 5 hours but my overall impression is that the game is well designed, the storyline has enough depth to keep you interested, the game play keeps you on your toes and at times requires a little thinking, and the graphics are pretty decent. If your looking to have a little fun and looking for something to hold you over until "God of War III," "Darksiders" will probably be right up your alley.

Another Smackdown vs Raw in the books

As a wrestling fan it's only natural that I buy every wrestling game that comes out (WWE wise anyway) and even though I know there are much better games on the market to spend my hard earned money on, I just can't sem to help myself. I've been neglecting SvR 09 for a while now not really playing as much as I do other games. But, after putting some effort into it, I've finally beaten the game. Well, as much as you can possibly beat a game such as this. The "Road to Wrestlemania" mode was about the only thing that made the game fun. There isn't really anything else after that to keep you entertained. Sure you can do the same old exhibition and choose from the numerous match types but it becomes rather boring. And don't get me started on the lame "Career" mode!!! Anyway, as much as I cry about it, I can guarantee that now that I'm done with this one, I'll go out and buy Smackdown vs Raw 2010!!! I must be crazy!!!

Same old button mashing!!!

Well, for the most part I've beaten Dynasty Warriors 6. I've unlocked all available characters and completed all campaigns. It was fun towards the beginning but got kind of repetitive after a while. I'm still a huge fan of the series and look forward to the next installment. I'm going to go ahead and keep working on leveling up all the characters but for the most part I'm done.

Addicted to Dragons Age

Ever since I went and picked it up, I have been almost unable to stop playing this game. It should have come with some kind of warning!!! If I didn't have work and my New Orleans Saints weren't tearing through the NFL, I would probably be whittling away in front of the TV.

It's been a while!

I haven't been able to really sit down and write anything in a while. My new schedule is hectic and when I do get a day off I really don't feel like doing a whole lot. Anyway, I just purchased Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 about a week ago, and have been playing it up ever since. I decided since I had the experience on that type of game to start on the Super Heroic difficulty, which wasn't all that bad until the end. I went Pro-Reg with a friend of mine from work in a Co-Op game and it was great, we worked together pretty good. On my own game I decided to go Anti-Reg, to get the other half of the story and so far it's cool. So, there's a quick up to date on what's been going on other than watching my New Orleans Saints kick off to a 3-0 start this season.

So many games, so little time!!!!

Here lately I've been just going to Blockbuster and abusing my monthly pass by renting 2-4 games a day. I just want to play everything. I've found somethat are awesome and some that I can't see how they made it to the market? Regardless, it's sucha great time to be a gamer with all the new games coming out, we've had Madden 10, NCAA Football 10, Infamous, UFC Undisputed, and Batman: Arkham Asylum, just to name a few. Some are so good that I just want to buy them but, then I would be homeless!!!

Viking: Battle for Asgard

Viking: Battle for Asgard is a good way to kill about 14 hours of your time but is rather disappointing considering it lacks any type of decent storyline and the fact that it has a lot of repeated sequences. Anyway, it's another game beat.
