@jcharp: In that case you might wanna check out Dirt 4, for example when it's on sale. It too provides full customization of difficulty and handling. You can choose between arcade and sim handling models or a custom one. And you can select the AI difficulty level.

It has quite nice graphics, many many pre-made maps to choose from, and you can even generate your own maps.

It's a good racer with very decent production values and almost bug-free. And it runs at a locked 60 fps.

I like forza too though, and definitely looking forward to forza 7 on windows 10. With my gtx 1070 I should have no trouble maxing it out at 1080p with a really high framerate.

@Atzenkiller: Really huh?? So South Park plays exactly the same as Far Cry. The Crew 2 will be exactly the same game as Far Cry 5. Skull and Bones playes exactly the same as Start Trek Bridge Crew. Watch Dogs 2 is exactly the same game as For Honor. Trackmania Turbo is exactly the same game as Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Just Dance 2017 and The Division were exactly the same game. Steep and Far Cry Primal were exactly the same game. Assassin's Creed Syndicate and Rainbow Six Siege were exactly the same game.

@ahmad996: Assassin's creed 2 was a very poorly designed game in my opinion. Especially the combat. Here's how I won 95% of the battles in the game:

- I simply kept pressing the right mouse button all the time, which could block almost all incoming attacks
- Once in a while I would press the left mouse button which would hit or kill an enemy
- Usually, I had like 30 pieces of health in the left upper corner, and getting hit would remove like one of those 30 pieces. So even though it was almost impossible to get hit, you could still get hit 20 times in a row without dying.

Only at the very end of the game you encounter a couple of enemies which can break through your block. But they too are very easily defeated.

I did enjoy playing Assassin's Creed II, but the combat of the game is definitely the most shallow and easy combat I've ever seen in my life.

And then the missions, what you had to do in most main story missions felt like filler to me. Like side-stuff. Where were the complex assassination missions where you had to think ahead, plan a strategy, wait for opportunities to arise, think about an exit-plan for after the assassination etc. All the missions were almost completely mindless.

So yeah, AC II for me was not nearly the best game in the series. Since then, the series has moved on. Games like AC: Unity (although it was very buggy at launch) and AC: Syndicate at least had some interesting missions. And they had interesting combat as well, which was a lot more challenging to AC II's combat (still a little easy though).

So right now, with Origins not being out yet, my favorite game of the series is AC: Syndicate, definitely.

Am not really that much of a fan of AC: Black Flag either. The naval combat felt very very shallow to me. With 10 minutes of playing you had everything figured out already. And it was far too easy as well. Never in the game did the naval combat start to feel challenging.

- How much do you expect Ark: Survival Evolved and its expansions to grow in popularity after the full release? Do you have a growth plot in mind for the amount of active players?

- Do you think that this is one of those games that can survive and thrive for a very long term period? Meaning, five years after release there are still plenty of players and the game will still receive updates?

- For the full release of the PC version, are you planning any additional anti-cheat measures? Do you think cheaters at this moment in time pose a serious risk for the game and people's enjoyment of it?

@galacticat: That's hardly a good summary of an article called Ubisoft Responds To Red Dead Redemption 2's Delay. Since Ubisoft doesn't publish Red Dead Redemption 2.

Moreover, Assassin's Creed Origins will probably be the best game in the series so far. I wouldn't call it a "sucky" game.

@expredator: His comment didn't read like that at all. His comment read as if he was suggesting that it is the common belief that the campaign modes in most multiplayer focused games are terrible. A well-established belief shared by almost all gamers.

If you don't want people to read a comment like that, then you should learn how to write better. I'll continue this post with some on-topic comments, also note how I'll state my own opinion and make it very clear that it is my own opinion.

On topic: Splatoon 2 doesn't look that interesting to me at all. Guess I'll stick to Overwatch / Battlefield 1 & 4 / SW: Battlefront / Titanfall 2. And shortly upcoming Lawbreakers.

I think Overwatch is a great game overall, but sometimes it slightly annoys me that it already targets young people a bit too much for my taste. It is rated T though. This game is rated everyone 10+. Quite a low rating for a shooter. To me, as an adult, it simply looks like a rather boring shooter with a low skill gap and poor voice chat and lobby options. The kindergarten-artstyle doesn't really appeal to me. And to me, it seems like the artstyle was developed to appeal to younger ages than 10, even though its rated E10+.
On the other hand, it looks like a title suitable for young children. They can't quite play something like Battlefield 1. I don't see anything in the video review which is so violent I wouldn't let a 5-year old play this game.

@dr_vancouver: internet quality varies strongly depending on the type of internet you have (fibre, cable, or over phone line). If you have internet over a phone line (adsl or vdsl) the speed and reliability of the internet vary strongly depending on time of day and how far away you are from the nearest exchange point.

Also, there are plenty of bad providers which have outages or slow speeds very regularly.

Moreover, in a lot of countries very strict data limits are still enforced.

And internet quality isn't the same in every country. Plenty of countries with very poor internet which sells for very high prices.

And i have to mention that a lot of people share their internet. Other people in the house using Youtube, Netflix or other streaming services can cause you to lag, warp or disconnect.

Unfortunately not all routers are of very high quality. Some people use poor quality routers with very buggy firmware. They leak in many things including the NAT tables and need to be regularly reset to regain speed and stability.

Last but not least, a lot of people don't like cables and use wifi. Interference is a real thing and can cause lag spikes.

And I've not even mentioned the people that forget to disable the 10 other installed applications' auto-update mechanisms which during gaming sessions decide to interfere by downloading hefty updates.

So.... in all fairness. If an online player occasionally lags a little, please don't shout 10 times over the voice chat that they lag and should leave immediately. That's simply being impolite.

@leviathanxx: Of course. Of course. The game is still very very buggy on all platforms. And there are plenty of graphical glitches as well. And the graphics quality is, especially on consoles, very poor. The game is very far away from a normal or polished release state.

Given that the game is hugely popular there will probably still be plenty of 8 or 9 review scores from the critics. But here's hoping there will be plenty of 4s, 5s and 6s as well, cause this game is basically still very very unpolished.

@slimeknight: Really huh?? Thats your own opinion then. Not the ultimate truth. Personally, I greatly enjoyed the single-player campaigns of Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2. Even though those titles present an excellent multiplayer experience as well. Also hugely looking forward to the Star Wars Battlefront II campaign.

Is this the game which had big fps drops on even the most powerful rigs with an expensive i7, 32GB RAM and a GTX 980 Ti??

And the game with really poor texture quality and streaming.

Which crashed very often and sold mediocre at best.

And had very dumb gameplay consisting of just dumbly and mindlessly shooting at everything.
