[QUOTE="despa1r_fact0r"]The token does technically go to the graveyard (and all effects apply as when it does go to the graveyard) - and then the token is removed from the game. Any card or abilities that allows you to bring a creature from the grave yard back into play does not apply for tokens (because they are removed from the game)/ If it helps I owned a comic shop and ran Wizard sanctioned MtG gamesAcemaster27Does it go to the graveyard first? I thought it would be returned to the hand (thereby triggering any 'whenever a permanent is returned to it's owner's hand" abilities), but the moment the token gets there it ceases to be since it cannot exist in a hand, and is removed from the game.
In this case no "Permenant is returned..." abilities would activate. Tokens don't count as permenants, unless the target of a spell has to be a permenant, then they can be targeted i think. But I haven't played in a while so I don't know how any rules might have changed.
