I have been trying to obtain Castlevania Symphony of the Night (PS1) for a while now and I took another stab at it tonight. However, all the auctions on ebay went at least to $40, ouch. I can't get myself to spend that much on a PS1 game, but I may have to eventually. If anybody has a copy they would be willing to part with, I will pony up some cash for it.
On a completely unrelated note, I five starred every non-bonus song on hard in guitar hero 2, so I am the proud owner of the weird eyball guitar.

So last night at about 11:00 pm, one of my friends calls my roomate and tells us that there is a big fire a few minutes south of my dorm at a warehowse right above the bay, so we booked it down there and that fire was freaking huge. It was really amazing to see and unlike anything I had seen before. My roomate posted a cellphone video of it, the link is here,

Luckily, the warehouse was abandoned and the fire has been put out by now.

I picked up Guitar Hero 2 today (it was the first game I had preordered since Soul Calibur 2). The song list is really good except for a few clunkers, I have been playing through the career on hard (I could start on expert but I want my money's worth) and it seems about the same as the orginial on hard, I have 5 starred almost every song one my first try, I know expert will be much harder. The buckethead bonus song is the most insane thing I have ever seen. I have done a bit of co-op and that is alot of fun as you can play with someone of any skill. Gears of War looks awesome but now that I have GH 2, there is no need for me to get a 360 for a long while. I am a happy man.

So, for almost 2 years, I had only about 3 reviews on Gamespot. I written seven more in less than a week. I think they are all un-biased and well-written reviews for a variety of games. Tell me what you think so I can bear suggestions in mind as I write more. Thanks.

So, the MK Scream It contest is over. Overall, I am happy with the way it turned out I felt like the guy who won really deserved to, his video was well organized and clever (he interviewed his mom, it was awesome). Best of luck to him agaisnt Ed Boon. I hope Gamespot does some more of these contests (I will enter the Heros one this week). My only compaint, I felt like it was very unclear that there had to be a 2-minute time limit and since I had already made my movie by the time I found out, I was kind of up a creek. But, alot of fun and I hope you check out my Heros video this weekend.

So, I just beat the first Devil May Cry, it was a pretty solid game overall but I have one complaint that I think is applicable to many games and even to some TV shows. It is never, ever cool to have to fight the same boss or in the case of Family Guy or South Park, listen to the same joke, multiple times throughout the course of one game or episode. It simply seems to be a way for the content creators to create less content. If you are having to recycle content within the same game, well, make the game shorter. I dont wanna fight the same big thing of Goo three times.

I just posted a video of a game that I believe to be on of the more interesting and cinematic games of 1992. Out of this world, you should check it out if you want to trace some of the roots of cinematic games we enjoy today. Also, thanks to all of those who reccomended my MK video, I am really proud of it and it is good to see that some people know what I was going for with it.
