Only people who doesn't know anything about gaming would say that, really. You can just show them your epic list of Steam games, and if they say Steam is some illegal program whatever, slap them in the face.
Is it worth gaming on this PC, or should I stick with PS3, or wait until I have enough money to upgrade?
My native resolution is 1920x1080 and games look weird if I dont play them at this resolution. That makes me turn other settings down. Here are the specs:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo CPU E7400 @ 2.80 GHz
CPU Speed: 2.80 GHz Performance Rated at 5.04 GHz
RAM: 3.5 GB

Oh yes it is. You can max almost all games from 2006 or earlier and many games from 2007. You can also play 2008 - 2009 games like Mass Effect on high. Of course it's nothing compared to the beasts people build these days, but it's still very capable of gaming.
Or you could get Company of heroes Online for free, which has everything CoH vanilla has. Although you can't save mid-mission last i checked, which is annoying. Is being able to save mid mission worth $5? up to you.
