Ports,

Rehashes,

and gimmicky controllers?

For a second I thought this was a thread about the PS3...

Master_Hermes

Yeah that's games ported from a console from the same generation that the PS3 is in. Where as the Wii is porting games that are 1-2 years old from the last gen.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a remake of an Xbox game, not only has it had an impressive graphical facelift but PS3 owners who have never owned an Xbox can enjoy this great game instead of investing on another console.

Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption and Super Smash Bros. Brawl are all guranteed a score of 8.0 or higher.

Hexagon_777

You seem so sure about that seeing as nobody has played a full version of these games ;)

And your right Twilight Princess even though it is a port from the Gamcube happens to be the only game worth getting.

The chances of them getting an 8.0 or higher are higher than the chances of getting a 7.9 or lower. I am taking a risk by saying that they are each guaranteed a score of 8.0 or higher but it seems pretty likely to me.

I have to disagee on Twilight Princess being the only game worth getting. That, once again, is of subjective basis.

They probably said the same thing for Far Cry & Red Steel & look what score they got ;)

That was Ubisoft. Not Nintendo. Important difference.

But they are still exclusive to the system which to many fanboy would still count. If it was multi-format then that's a different story, but these were developed around & released only for the Wii which does nothing but offer more examples of the poor quality of games the Wii could be getting in the future.

I hope not though as i have one myself.

Fanboys are ignorant little things that have no logic and bend the truth as they please. You are not a fanboy, right? Well, then you shouldn't care what they think either.

Anyways, yes, they are still exclusive to the system but you cannot just disregard who developed the games. Do you honestly think Ubisoft put any effort into that trash? No, of course not! They even apologised because of that. We also both know that Ubisoft can do a lot better than that, right?

To sum all this up, you said "could", just like you said "probably" up there. I put them both in bold font. You're speculating. I see a number of good games coming out. Games with potential. They may flop, but from what I have heard and seen, the chances are that they will be good. I am speculating as well here, however, the probability of them being good appears to be higher than them being bad.

I am not disregarding the developers at all for those games, they are indeed THE reason why the games suck, but it still has been released as an exclusive as a Wii game and you should ask, "What decent games are going to be coming out next year if this is how good these games are going to be?". Guess what i'm really saying is that they need better 3rd party support.

However i will give you the benefit of the doubt that most of these games you have listed will have a higher score than an 8.0 on Gamespot and Red Steel 2 will be a much better game than Ubisoft's first effort, but don't count the chickens before they hatch.

If your logic about fanboys is true then you shouldn't reply back to this then :P

[QUOTE="TimeToPartyHard"]Great. Another fanboy Wii bashing thread. Shut up already.coreygames

If you are referring to me, i am not a fanboy. Surprisingly i have a Wii myself, i'm just mainly P*ssed off that there are not any quality games with fresh ideas coming out for it. With only excepetions to Super Paper Mario (not out in Europe yet) & Super Mario Galaxy.

Any decent looking games without Mario in it coming out soon? And before you say it i haven't played any of the Metroid Prime games yet will need to find some time to invest in them before i buy the 3rd in the series.

As to your last sentence, you must do that promtly! I don't understand people who say Nintendo has an issue with rehashing old franchises. When was the last big innovation in Halo? They are now on 3, a spin-off RTS is going to come out, A spartan was in DOA4, its own book series, and it was going to get a movie, right? Every company likes to hold on to its major successes, the ones that rake in the money at no expense to overall quality in the general gamer's opinion, just as Nintendo has with their Intellectual Property, they've just been doing it longer than the rest.

I also agree with you about the Halo series along with a lot of other FPS games, they all look the same. But do you not think they have Overly Over-done it with the Mario Spin-Offs like, Mario Party, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Mario Strikers, Mario Bull-Fighting, Mario Tiddly-Winks? I'm not saying kill off a specific series but if they are to make another one, wait until they come up with something new first.

The pointing system truly is the best thing that happened to games since the D-pad. It's really that great.

And besides, isn't the PS3 basically the PSP all over again?

EDIT: Oh, and you can't blame Nintendo for the Mario Party series. Nintendo doesn't make Mario Party games.

AbusementPark

That's a really bad comparison, where did you get that idea from :? If you had said PSP is basically the PS2 in the palm of your hand then i would of understood that (which generally doesn't sound like a bad idea) but PS3 is far superior in graphics and isn't a portable system.

Mario Party may not be developed by Nintendo but they have released it under their system which makes them just as guilty.
