The 360 has Tales of Vesperia and Fable II as their best exclusive next-gen RPG titles at the moment, with Enchanted Arms and Eternal Sonata on both systems now, and the PS3 got the superior version of Eternal Sonata. You've got Oblivion GOTY and Fallout 3 on PS3 as well. Some would consider Disgaea 3 a must have exclusive, while it doesn't venture much into next-gen territory, it's long lasting fun. However, the best next-gen JRPG is Valkyria Chronicles, a new PS3 exclusive. I think it's good if people are happy having a few more average RPGs on the 360, but I personally consider my time to be valuable and I want to experience the best titles that deliver an unforgettable experience. That's why I have a PS3, because the PS3 has a trend of getting the most amazing exclusives rather than a ton of games I don't care about. I would get VC though, while you still have a PS3.

It's a buy. You don't have to think that Killzone 2 will not be good just because the first Killzone is bad. It was about 3 years since the dev't of Killzone 2 and Guerilla has corrected their past mistakes of what they did with the first Killzone. Killzone 2 is gorgeous! Well, you still have 3 months to think about it.

Um... is the gameplay footage in your sig real? I mean, it has to be... but it's pretty unbelievable. Yeah, I just watched some beta-footage on Youtube and saw some more stuff that made me forget to breathe. I'm just surprised because it honestly looks better than the PC FPS's I've seen... including Crysis, which I know people are going to disagree with, but I have never seen an FPS that looks so real. Did you notice also that the co-op NPCs are extremely well done? I wonder what it's like to be in the beta of this thing, to be forced to believe that this game is not a fantasy. The $400 I spent on my PS3 now seem to pale in comparison to what it would cost for a PC to run games looking this good. Wow.Â
For every little bonus that "they" get, the PS3 usually has some exclusives or upcoming releases that are being overlooked by PS3 owners. If you ever feel jealous, just remember which side has been frantically dreaming about getting a port of MGS4 all year. And you feel bad because you missed out on some DLC for GTA4? Haha. I haven't even finished GTA4 and probably won't for a while now that I've got VC, which is yet another droolworthy PS3 exclusive. I think "they" started out this year by dropping a lot of anti-hype against the PS3, which is generally something like, "We have more, more, more!" So if you buy into that, you might feel jealous until you realize that having more doesn't mean having more stuff that actually matters.

The patch is available in NA, I've downloaded and played the patched Bioshock. Visuals are definitely improved, the blur I noticed in 1080p is gone, the game looks fantastic in 1080p now. The textures are rock solid as is the framerate, the white bars are gone. Great job 2k! The patch weighs in at 222mb and I can say after having played the 360 version, the visuals are definitely on par with both versions, PS3 textures are better here and there. The DLC is out later today so we'll see how that ends up being, still kinda mad they're charging extra for that on top of full retail price for a year old game.mmirza23
Thank you for posting this! That is excellent news. I can hardly believe this is real. Isn't it amazing how one little patch turns the game from being "another inferior multiplatformer" into the superior console version? Well, I guess Bioshock will be yet another in the slew of PS3 games I've got in mind to buy, thanks to this patch. This is ridiculous. I have never had so many games lined up to purchase for any of the systems I've owned. I can honestly say that the PS3 is becoming my favorite system over the PS2...of course, Valkyria Chronicles really tipped the scale for me.
Has anyone posted new screenshots of the patched Bioshock? I'm gonna go search for some.
That PS3 Saliva commercial was great. I never see commercials because I don't watch TV, per se. I watch episodes online at the NBC and ABC websites. It would be smart to advertise, but I personally don't mind too much if they don't. Someone had posted a thread about Sony planning to rely on word-of-mouth advertising. From what I've experiencing growing up with NES, SNES and so on, my friends and I didn't buy games based on commercials. Someone would get a game, and then we'd see them playing it at their house, so we'd end up getting it ourselves. The other big thing was gaming publications, like the EGM magazine I used to get. Now I come online to learn about games. But to this day, my friends are almost completely influenced by word-of-mouth in their gaming decisions. It doesn't matter what rating the game got. If someone else is playing the game and they said it was awesome, the rest of my friends will probably get it.
I'm not worried about Sony in the future with the way the games are pouring in now and future releases like KZ2... just picked up Valkyria Chronicles tonight and I'm falling in love!

Hrm... I think I've been converted to going to IGN for previews and reviews. Gamespot's preview, compared to IGN's, seems to plainly say, "Whelp, it's a fairly standard FPS so there you go!" Lol. IGN had far more to say about the game and they also reviewed Valkyria Chronicles when it was released... which was on the 4th.
Anyway, I'm already looking forward to KZ2 big time and for some reason I feel like it's gonna be a pretty huge event.
