@Dilandau88: They do but it's one of those "life of the product" warranties with a thousand caveats that let them dodge responsibility.

I used to just replace the potentiometers myself but they've been intentionally making the controllers more and more like some sort of chinese puzzlebox so it's harder to fix yourself. The joysticks assemblies are literally the last thing you can get access to after breaking the controller down into it's nearly maximally disassembled state and getting them back together is a bear, so I guess it worked because I just buy replacement controllers now...

On that front, if anyone has been having a lot of drift issues with their Switch Joycons, I highly recommend the Gulikit replacement hall effect sensor sticks. It's a BIT difficult of a replacement but they're essentially immune to drift and have much stronger resistance that results in higher precision, they're neat. I only mention because I REALLY wish they'd make these for PS5 controllers already. They've SUPPOSEDLY been going to put out a hall effect replacement for the $200 DualTheft Elite or whatever controller, and I'd get one if I could put better sticks in it...

What a pointless, worthless product. It's like they took the PSP or Vita, stripped out everything that made it good and built it around the one feature it had that was totally pointless.

@bignoli: I've had my PS5 since launch month, put in hundreds of hours since over the years. No drift.

It's a lottery. My launch PS5 controller lasted about 2 years, my first replacement lasted about a year, my second replacement had major drift in 3 months and somehow down on the left stick would randomly press up instead. At the current rate I'll have to buy a controller several times a day before the end of 2025.

Good ole modern gaming, why get something you can keep when you can pay more for something temporary!

@wowgrandpa: Sure a good thing you're the only person playing and represent the entire playerbase huh?

Turns out, RANDOM DROPS ARE RANDOM. Go take a look at people discussing Tempest Roar or Exposed Flesh. I did the work for you by direct linking you the reddit searches for them.

A lot of lynchpin uniques and legendary aspects are so rare they're straight up memes at this point.

Personally by level 100 on a rogue I'd gotten ONE pair of Penitent Greaves, which were highly important to my build, and I got them at level 96. My Necro badly needed Exposed Flesh and didn't get it until level 84. I'm not even going to THINK about trying to do a druid with its drop rates and the horror stories I keep hearing there.

But nah, you got yours bro, no problems here.

@ratchet200:Yes, basically every necro and druid. Both dependent on drops that are AMAZINGLY rare for no reason.

Druids were REALLY bad off since for some reason they were getting Barbarian drops for like 3 weeks in addition to their own, diluting their drop pool even more.

I know three druid mains, one of them level 100 and the rest over 70 who still don't have their lynchpin uniques, which can start dropping as soon as you get into WT3, so they have dozens if not hundreds of hours into looking for one item to make their build work.

Better yet is that update the other day where they made it so you could target farm uniques in Helltide chests, but they were pants on head and didn't account for Barbs and Sorc's not having unique helmets, so Andarial's Visage and Harlequin Crest were dropping for them at around 0.5-1% drop rate, items that are supposed to be MORE RARE than winning the lottery.

It's undeniably a mess. Not at all helped by every time someone works out a meta they nerf it.

Holy moly an actually decent sale price on something in one of these articles.

Unfortunately they're backordered into AUGUST currently.

The problem here is the DRM itself can vary in how badly it affects performance depending on how the developers implement it. It CAN be made to not affect the performance, but that's uncommon, and allows for them to bias their 'evidence'.

Even if they were to offer DRM free versions there's honestly no way for most users to prove it isn't just still running with Denuvo but without the online checks enabled.

You forgot "uninstall immediately after the campaign because the endgame is a complete garbage fire of whack-a-mole nerfs and the industry's worst drop rates, and seasonal content is going to be completely deleted after the season rendering any fun new gear you got non-existent, just go play some game with halfway decent seasons if you're into that."

@hassan4492: Considering Bethesda's track record on Sony platforms, they still wouldn't really be able to play it until the remaster was released on PS6.
