Well, you can turn it off at least. I don't think you can on the plugged software on any other console. Even the WiiU displays the Mii Plaza every time you boot it up that constantly advertises stuff.

It's crappy of them to put it in your library view but the entire PS4 interface is pretty crap anyway.

I'm not defending the practice but an opt-out is WAY more than any other company offers.
