@cobsohn: I'm betting the majority of people who are being called "toxic" in this situation are the people who call out orders and try to organize the team too, a tactic I've seen recommended by a lot of top players. The Xbox community rating system is horrendously flawed and this can only lead to a ton of innocents caught in the crossfire.
@gamingdevil800: Silicon Knights licensed Unreal Engine 3, claimed they were given an undocumented and incomplete version of it, spent months trying to get help from Epic before they finally reverse engineered the engine and rebuilt it from the ground up for their use. They were still paying their licensing fee for the engine but Epic took exception to their own laziness in supplying their customers with the product they paid for and rather than just accept the money they were making, destroyed Silicon Knights and ordered all unsold copies of Too Human destroyed.
If you think video games are any sort of art, you should have a problem with Epic's actions.
@biggamerdude: So throw the baby out with the bathwater, no, I realize exactly what's going on. You're a big baby and can't be bothered to mute people yourself so you'd rather cut off a huge chunk of the community based on a flawed system whether or not they did anything wrong.
@biggamerdude: So instead you want them to be unable to communicate with the team and be, potentially, even less able to be any use in the game?
You did read the part where they say they're using Xbox's rating system for it too, right? You know, that thing that people report you on because you beat them in a game? The most abused system in gaming?
I have a chunk of negative feedback for trash talk on that and I've literally never used my headset in public games, I only play stuff with my friends in party chat. Reliable ashell.
