Level 24 (85%)

Well that last post sure was a ramble wasn't it. Seems like no one had any comments. Well I cleared out my queue so I'll be on my way. Not much info about upcoming GA episodes on the horizon. Excluding "What Have I Done to Deserve This?" Last night's episode had me up jumping around. I couldn't sit still. It was great! See ya.

Nobody's Interested?...

...in General Hospital spoilers? Well I'm not surprised. I'm working on the Duplicate Guides thread. I should be updating it near the end of the week. If anyone wants to encourage the staff to work on it I think it'd be a great idea. Tell them they won't have to worry about me altering it but to stay away from 500 on the Correct Vs. Incorrect list. I'm deleting it. Level 24 (52%). If anyone knows anything about why the Grey's Anatomy guide keeps getting errors in it when neither I or my trusted user ntonks are putting them in there I'd love to know how to stop it. Someone screwed up the episode numbering the other day and added h's to Cristina's name all over the place. Speaking of which I can't wait for the new episode tonight. I want Lisa to win on Dancing with the Stars. I've started a boycott of the season finale in protest. Not hoping to start a movement but I just don't really care now that I know she isn't going to win. Not the same feeling as when Kwan dropped out of the Olympics but somewhere in that vein. I think McDreamy may be on his way back to Meredith. But I don't know if I want them to be together anymore. I'm glad others are atune to his two-sided-ness. I think the best line from "(As We Know It)" was Adelle saying "That's not the she he was looking for." And also it would appear that no one is checking the forum. I've got stuff in there about the guide. People keep saying why don't you put a note about this or that in the forum and I already have. And most of that stuff I can't fix. I wish that the staff would give me more power of over the guides I edit. Users are PMing me telling me that Podcast links don't exist or the Specials aren't located in the Other season or that people are putting spoilers in thread titles and there's nothing I can do. It's really annoying and pointless. Why can't they give us some moderation control over our shows forums? If not some other powers. Like maybe changing the summaries listed by video clips. In the West Wing guide two of the clips are backwards and two of the episodes are named incorrectly. I can't do anything about it but I get emailed once a week about it. And who can I talk to about getting episodes moved into the Special category or getting seasons deleted? I need so much help. I want these guides to be the best they can be but I don't have the "privilages" to fix the things that need "fixing." :( Well it's back to the Duplicate Guide thread and my homework. Right now I'm watching Buffy, Angel, Kim Possible, and the beginning of Season 2 of Grey's Anatomy. I was just at Wal-mart and I noticed that the latest Harry Potter movie is coming to DVD early next month. Seemed a little soon if you ask me. I'm looking for a new hairstyle so post some photos if you've got some ideas. And no that picture in my little corner up there is not a picture of me. It's of Jessica Alba. I heart Dark Angel (minus the drawn out postponement of her relationship with the man behind the Eyes.) 4:51pm EST

Shake your bon-bon...

I'll be commenting on the voting age issue later. I like the new Dancing with the Stars ads. I don't want Lisa to go home. I've grown attached to her since Veronica Mars. For the first time I can say that a leading actor in a series is equally qualified to do the voiceover for the promos. Dennis Haysbert for I believe the Unit. The almost did it anyway, pulling his lines from the episodes and using them for the commercial. Level 24 (48%) Yesterday Level 24 (50%) Today I can't believe the killed off Tony from General Hospital. Periphreal, yes. But expendable?

Kwan and Image Awards

Well after I got all but one of my pending submissions processed my score shot up to Level 24 (43%). Accepted: 2272 Denied: 233 Pending: 1 Total: 2506 I was so sad to see Kwan go. I don't know why shee didn't even bother to compete. But I guess since he carrer seems to be over I'll leave it all at bittersweet and wish for her to have a good life. She has so much of it ahead of her. I agree with tv gal. Cress Williams has definetely moved to the top of the pile of people who deserve their own show. I was kinda down on ABC for saying they had 45 million viewers for "It's the End of the World" when every source only says 38 or 39. I haven't been able to find 45 anywhere. (except on ABC) I glad they got an upage in viewers though. And I'm not so surpised they surpassed DH's normal numbers by I was jumpstarted by the ratings that cam in from February 12th. Back to TvForeva: 1. You didn't comment. 2. I don't understand. 3. The habits people develop in high school are habits that they are likely to carry through life. High schoolers are politically aware yet powerless in terms of representation. What does college have to do with it? 4. I'm thinking there does need to be a line of demarcation by why 18 and not 13? 5. The arguement was made and the amendment was ratified. 6. That's what I was wondering. Happy Valentine's Day to you all. I'm encouraging more debate on the topic of lowering the voting age. I'm considering getting the Grey's Anatomy DVD but the special features don't sound like they'll rock my world. I think I'm gonna hold off until the box set of the entire series hit stores (years I know but I have patience). I was wondering why the would release Grey's Anatomy on Valentine's Day, not exactly the perfect Valentine's Day present whether I love it or not, but now I see that sales will shoot up after the ratings in the past two episodes. Something they probably could have seen coming as a post-Super Bowl episode and with it's conclusion and DH lead-in. Genius. Updated List of Pending Submissions

My only pending submission: Chicken Soup for the Soul (July 17, 2005) Episode Stars On page 110 of 126 in my submission status pages. I'll be working on writing some reviews. My PM system in defunct. The messages won't mark as if they were read and the number won't change. I've got 38 messages that won't "disappear." I'm writing an paper on lowering the voting age. If anyone has an opinion I'd love to hear it. I'm focusing on the United States but examples or comments on other places are welcome also.

danmod is...

the bestest staff member ever. Period. I say it like a school girl in love but I don't know how else to express my appreciation. I sent him a PM on Saturday that said this: "I wanted to know if you were the person to talk to about this: I have submission pending from July and August. Is there anyway I can get them taken care of?" Today my pending count went from 40 to 2. Danmod rocks. Also thank you to VillaFan (I believe) for recommending that I talk to danmod. I don't know if danmod was the one who cleared my queue. I can only assume. But I pretty sure. And for that danmod pretty much will rock forever in my mind. Level 24 (1%) Golden Girl I'm sure that mashby will catch up to me sooner or later. I wonder what kind of point boost I might get for all of those approved submissions? Why can't I see the previous submission status pages anymore?

Level 24 (0%)

That's a first. Never been at 0% before. Well I'm happy about my level up and waiting for the conclusion of Grey's Anatomy while I do homework and bake cake. Talk to you later.

A Better Blog and a Mundane Week

I am so happy that Kwan actually gets to participate in the Olympics. Win or not it is her last chance and I hope she gets the gold. I agree that she has failed before and that sometimes it isn't fair that to ask to be an acception to a rule, but I feel as if fate is closing a loop when you look up the history of how she didn't get to go 12 years ago. They raise the question "If Emily Hughes had skated better, would that have had an impact on the discussion?" The answer is: No. It wouldn't have mattered how well the third place skater had skated or who they were; it was only about whether or not they were gonna let Kwan go. Not saying it's fair > just saying how it is. Level 23 (84%) Close Talker What happened to the emblems thread? Katrina Then Katrina Now World Population Calendar Regardless of how you feel about so-called "wmd"s these are an informative sites: site 1 and site 2 and site 3 Disclaimer: I do not claim to abide by any of the claims on any of these sites. I postso that others may educate themselves, at least in this case in the area of knowledge called nuclear weapons. Did Kanye or Mariah win any awards at the Grammys? School was okay. Lots of tests. Lots of papers due. I'm taking Sociology 101 and this teacher is trying to explain something without examples. I'm someone who needs examples. And in this case so does the rest of the class. I led a class discussion on this. She said she'd come up with some examples for the next class. In the next class she did what she had been doing for the past 3 weeks. I always say that in the world of teaching there are 2 categories: good teachers and good people. Sometimes people fit into one, sometimes people fit into either, sometimes people fit into neither. I'll say that so far she fits into only one category. I not only figured out what my problem was with the class but I addressed it in an orderly fashion and explained it in a way that the entire class understood. Why can't she do the same? Is it so hard to actually give an example of what you want? She thinks the class understands because they are all nodding their heads yes in a sucking up fashion but she doesn't seem to notice that no one is raising their hand in class to answer questions or knows how to do the homework assignments. For a person who teaches sociological behavior she doesn't seem to know a lot about it. And on another day we spent the entire class with this girl who took every single topic we had an tried to turn it into a discussion on the differences and non-differences between black and white (races). She also doesn't know the difference between transgender, gay, or crossdresser. She thinks they are all homosexual things, as in exactly the same but all gay. She is loads of fun.
