@Toysoldier34 @YoungCardinal

If you see AMD Games website, Microsoft uploaded a video showing Max Payne Three running at 30fps on a 4K monitor...

I'm not entirely sure what system specs it was, only specified a 7970 (could have been CrossFire).

I have a feeling two or three generations from now we may be technically capable of running some games reasonably at 4K (just not demanding games like Crysis or Witcher :)...

I definitely think we will see 4K PC long before console though.

Of all major PC hardware, upgrading the RAM gives you the least amount of performance increase (shared in the PS4).

You will see improved draw distances, and textures (because more data can be stored in the memory, but its not a big a leap as upgrading a CPU or GPU).

An important thing to distinguish is frame buffer (VRAM) and RAM though. This 8GB is shared across the system and the GPU. VRAM is what allows for the improved draw distances and textures.

One thing I'm interested in knowing is about 4K. People say its likely not gonna be mainstream for another 5-10 years. Sony has said the PS4 can't play games at 4K, but can play 4K content.

The GTX680 and AMD 7970 can support 4K resolutions already, with up to 6 simultaneous outputs on a single card. it can easily run a 4 monitor 1080p setup for 4K output (was shown at CES).

I wonder with PC GPU's already reaching that level of performance, in how many years will we see native 4K gaming (to me it seems earlier than the 2020 estimates).

@starduke AVP Classic was a tense game for me when playing as the Marine.

I recall a few of the levels where I'd be low on flares or could hear a facehugger crawling on a lower level. In that game you had to make sure you killed a facehugger or it was gameover and restart the level (I could neve get the save game patch to work lol).

This is why I always refrain from preordering any game or first day buying (which the majority of the sales likely came from). Having seen the reviews of this game, will not be getting it now (after really anticipating this game)

I've seen it happen on plenty of occasion that marketing a movie or game is very misleading. I don't understand the idea of pre-ordering at all...your giving away money for an unreleased product that you have no idea what the quality of the product will be. If certain games in the past haven't made you think twice (RE6 anyone).

Of course Gearbox makes it known publicly that they indeed did not develop the main campaign after the game is released to poor reviews. They rake in the money and mislead their customers...anyone once trusting developer I can no longer trust to make quality.

@joeboosauce Mark Hamil stated that he was retiring from the voice of the Joker and he would only agree to do another Joker if it was regarding the "The Killing Joke" (which from a timeline standpoint would occur before the first two Arkham games.)

The whole stylized prequel wording simply would mean they may need to alter a few things to align it better sync with the current two games as they didnt follow a particule story arch from a comic (ie doing a new prequel but derive material from an actual comic, 'the killing joke').

I am not believing them...

I'm am only commenting hypothetically (hence the "if")based on the article.

If these rumors have no basis, then eventually the media would stop reported them as if their true. But when you start getting mutliple source reporting the same thing, some from reputable sources, then you have to start acknowledging that they may indeed happen.

And obviously neither executive would word it directly like that as such or even mention it during a press event unveiling. If they were to mention it, it would be at a later point in time.

Also, don't rule out the possibility of destroying their own business...lots of people are upset with windows 8, so you never know...could be as simple as poor judgement by a poor CEO.

@stealthyninja81

I'd rather see some HD remakes of some of the classic MOH games.

This modern warfare trend in my opinion has been milked way too much.

With the current capabilities of PC and impending nextgen consoles, it would be nice to go back to WW2 or even some WW1 battles.

So much can be done regarding various battles and with since very little was done with naval and airplane dogfights, it could be a welcome refresh/reboot.

If this is true, then there truly is very little incentive in owing a Microsoft console.

Most Xbox games will be available on the PC (except a few AAA titles like Halo, maybe Fable goes back to exclusive). But if consumers are smart and don't buy into the way the industry is forcing you to play, then MS and Sony won't get away with it. Nextgen will also help make porting to PC half decent.

So if you really want the convience of console, why limit yourself to trying games to a 'always-on' acccount. You might as well go Playstation or WiiU if you want full freedom of your games. (although you will have to wait and see too if the PS4 supports secondshand games)

If both PS4 and Xbox block second-hand games and limit your to a DRM style just like steam and PC, there is absolute no incentive for consoles anymore. You might as well invest in a media PC and getter better performance while also having DRM.
