@DrBob27 Even if you can do that, the always online DRM thing blows it for me anyway. Seems like lots of users are unable to play right now thanks to the DRM. I will not buy games that are meant to be a single player experience for the most part, which later can be rendered useless by server down time, outages, or when support is dropped altogether.

Um sorry, but I don't want one of my neighbors to affect my economy in a supposed single player game. It is just an excuse to implement always online DRM. Sim City is meant to be a single player experience, so why should I have to count on players in my region to ensure that my experience doesn't suffer? Screw that.

I all I can say is...YESSS! I was kind of hoping that Dishonored would be a good stealth game, but it fell short of that in my opinion. Hiding behind objects isn't really my idea of stealth. Thief games actually use shadow not unlike Splinter Cell, which makes the series more appealing to me. I cannot wait for this.

@Superfunk2000 Note the word "exaggerated". That indicates that there is some truth behind some of this article. They are just never going to admit which part or parts.

@LoganDaDestroya Well, of course they are going to deny that it is true. It comes off as damaging to them. That doesn't mean that there isn't any truth to it whatsoever. Remember this, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman."

@FacesMan I can't find the GS article at the moment, but here are some other sources that touch on it.

I remember reading an article on Gamespot a year ago or so in which I believe an EA executive was talking about charging the player for ammo in shooters. It was being tossed around as an idea for upcoming titles, and I think the Dead Space 3 microtransactions were somewhat of a test to see if they could eventually implement something like that slowly but surely. If the microtransaction system were a great success, it would only exacerbate their strive to make almost anything and everything in a game purchaseable, be it mandatory or optional. I am glad to see that sales were not up to par, because that means that they actually might abandon this strategy, and in the end, we all benefit from that. Microtransactions belong in an arcade where you pump quarters to keep playing, not in a AAA title that you already shelled out 60 bucks for.

@LesserAngel I have had a hard time with taking damage with my mage wearing Archmage's robes as well, but I am working on enchanting skills to have the same perks as the robes on some armor. This is my third or fourth character build, and I am not used to being so frail.
