@Adavanter That is why I only bought AC 1, 2, and 3. I didn't feel the need to play Brotherhood or Revelations.

@fishforme2 Well, you used Nodes to power up and modify your equipment in the first 2 games. It isn't all that much different than that, just with more depth.

The Witcher 2 is by no means a small game either. Making a game that is 30x bigger is pretty impressive. It should be awesome.

It would be one thing if the loot drops are varied, but if you get the same crap in a locker every playthrough, that would detract from the weapon customization. I hope that it is random enough that you may not be able to make acid grenades on one playthrough, or at least not until later in the game then your first go. That would make the game more interesting.

So is this a roundabout way of saying someone from another studio left?

Well, people don't build rigs to play console games. They do it to get a better experience, so actually there is already an automatic disparity in the experience if the ported game has no advanced graphics options as well as controls that have consolitis. Porting the game exactly as it exists on consoles creates a damper in the PC user experience by default.

The last paragraph is where the article falls short if you ask me. The rest of the article is well written, but then it turns into a vegan, tree hugging, wheat grass drinking, type of mentality.

Games aren't meant to help us better understand ourselves, they are meant to entertain us. That is exactly what these Congressmen believe about games, and comments like that only help support their claims.

@Shingetsu Yeah, but if you had the choice between dating a hot chick, and dating an ugly chick, which would you choose? Personalities and everything else being equal, I think it is pretty obvious. People need to stop assuming that all PC gamers care about is graphics. Sure the better resolutions are great on PC, but just because we get better visuals, that doesn't mean that is all we care about, we just get spoiled by them somewhat. It is just that we would rather have the hot chick, that is all.
