@Undietaker I don't know how a sales clerk goes about asking who the game is for anyway. I am not sure that unless the individual specifically states that they are buying a game for so and so, that it is really any of the clerk's business. I applaud the effort, but honestly, if parents are willing to buy an M/AO game for a child, something tells me that some guy in a pony tail and a tongue piercing isn't going to change mommy and daddy's mind. Just saying.

@leeko_link I think that games that existed before the ESRB was in place will be ok. For example, you can not get a ticket for no seat belt when driving a vehicle that didn't have seat belts for the back passengers back in the 40s-50s etc. I don't think they are going to be that hardcore about it to the point of following individual sellers on Ebay and what not. Shaq Fu...lol.

I am surprised that Sleeping Dogs didn't sell better in Hong Kong. Isn't the game's setting based in Hong Kong? I guess Fifa isn't as big in Asia.

@deathstream The surrounding communities surely have them. Rest stops are not always in the middle of nowhere, especially in a congested area such as New England. We are not talking about rest stops on Route 66, or in the middle of Montana. Think about it and do a little research before you try to belittle someone with your ignorance. I am not suggesting that the state DOT should pull movies from theaters, I am only suggesting that they are singling out one form of entertainment.

I don't suppose they pulled any violent movies out of the local theaters did they? Of course not, because we all know that video games are the real culprit. I cannot count how many times I got through playing Doom on my PC in High School, then suddenly felt the urge to shoot everyone at school. Please.

Millions, and I mean MILLIONS of people play violent video games. Even if say 10 incidents a year can be directly linked to video games, out of 10 million gamers, that is only 1x10^-6 % of the gaming population. Taking away things from responsible people in the hopes that you may somehow divert a delusional individual away from negative stimuli is not only unfair to the rest of us, but is also unlikely to deter a crazed psychopath anyway.

@PSYCHOV3N0M Just about every shooter has a degree of twitch to it. It is harder to be accurate with quick reflexes at the same time than it is to sit and lay prone scoped in on one spot. Counter Strike takes skill, and that is bigtime twitch shooter.

@spammehardo @ZOD777 By mechanics I was assuming you meant controls, aiming, hit detection, that sort of stuff. I am not going to argue about the multiplayer because I think it is awful, and too cramped, not to mention insta respawns. I was referring to the fluidity of the controls, graphics, and single player campaign when it comes to polish.

@spammehardo COD is actually quite polished compared to most other shooters. The imitators are typically the ones that have horrible mechanics. This is coming from someone who plays LOTS of shooters. I prefer BF3 when it comes to multiplayer, but you cannot deny that there is a high polish on CODs mechanics.

Just because a couple of loons do something, the rest of us might have to pay for it. Take for example the shoe bomber. Now everyone has to take off their shoes at the airport. At least he didn't put the bomb in his ass. The ESRB is enough, I don't need big brother telling me or developers for that matter, what can and cannot be played.

@steelmouth Pick up Fallout 3 GOTY edition. It is well worth it. If you like open world RPGs, it doesn't get much better.
