@Killer6b9 Probably because of the enormous expenses that it took to produce the game. Honestly, I don't think there are that many people out there that had no intention of buying the game until this promo.
It doesn't add up for someone that didn't want to play it, to now go, "Oh neato! I can spend 60 bucks to earn 7.50!" A promo like this works out for those that already had intentions of picking up the game, and it gives you MS points which are only redeemable where.....you guessed it.
Think of it like a coupon to a grocery store. You can only use it at that store, so chances are, you are going to use the coupon as well as spend some extra money along with it. It is marketing, not free money.
@flammable_zeus You either have to be unemployed, or have no social life whatsoever in order to reach 140h in that time span. I guess a child could, but that would be terrible parenting for one, and two, it is an M rated game anyway. I don't really think that MS is intentionally targeting children, but are just trying to drum up additional sales (as if they need to).
@tightwad34 I have always favored PC games, and since most games go multiplatform these days, sticking to PC just made more sense to me. I miss out on some games like this one, but I don't think I will ever go back to consoles.
@tightwad34 Wrestlemania 2000, or WWF No Mercy were very similar as far as gameplay, so it was probably one of those. I had both, and I don't think there has been a better one since. MAYBE this one can compare, but I skipped this console gen so I will have to just imagine.
@PinchySkree Nope, you are right. Just launched the game and tried it. It does create a new save for each quicksave. I do recall having to go and delete what seemed like 80 saves when the refresh list got slow.
@PinchySkree @Sarijon It didn't take that long to load unless you have like 50 of them. From what I recall, there was only one quicksave slot (per character), and all of the others (blue box), or after sleep and fast travel asked you which slot you wanted to save (new/overwrite).
@Sarijon PC didn't have that issue. Hitting F5 gives you quick saves no matter where you are, but I can see how that can become problematic to have to unlock save points more or less.
