Download EVGA precision. You can tweak the fan settings and clock/shaders. The auto fan speeds aren't always reliable. I manually turn my card's fan up to 75-85% before playing games. It is kinda loud, but then again my speakers are louder!!! At night I use a headset, so the fan noise doesn't bother me.

Here is where you get Precision...

This whole promotion is garbage if you ask me. They are just trying to get people to buy the crappy games that nobody wants. Notice that none of the achievements are for games that are popular? This is about the worst thing Steam has ever done.

How is it crap?

HyperWarlock

Well, I think the graphics are better on MW2 sadly. MW3 feels compressed on my widescreen even at native resolution. It just doesn't look good on PC. It is almost like plugging an Xbox360 in to the monitor.

LOL if you are talking about the latest game that is in the works. That game is looking like a gimmick game, not a real worthwhile title.

I didn't even know there was one! I just recently watched this video on YouTube where a guy got Skyrim to work with Kinect and it worked quite well. A single guy...Makes you wonder why Bethesda didn't just include Kinect functionality with the game.

The game is actually already out now. Last I heard they had pushed back the release to work on a few things. It is more of a game for kids. There is no real freedom of movement, rather you have to do certain movements to advance to the next set of enemies. I would rather play something like Jedi Knight or a FPS closer to Battlefront or Dark Forces than this junk. Here is a bit of gameplay if you haven't seen it yet..

Red Dead Redemption. I was really looking forward to playing that one on PC since Call of Juarez didn't really live up to much. I think they were smart enough to use "Call of" in the title to generate sales on a product that they knew wasn't all that great. Besides the point, I know...

RDR could have been badazz on the PC.

It might still work, especially if there is a bios update, but If I were you, I would go with something on the list just to be sure.

Check your ram to make sure its model number is on the qualified vendor list. The ram I found on newegg (which I assume you are using) doesn't match up with the list. Look at page 3 and 4. I am having trouble posting links, but if you just go to the Gigabyte site and enter your model, you will be able to dl the memory support list there. Pages 3 and 4 are for 1600Mhz ram.

Other than that, PSU is adequate for card and processor, I don't see any other real issues.

A G5 is a good gaming mouse, and cheap.
