I'm Back! Spring Break, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and School

WOW!!! What a long time it's been!

Sorry, I've been on Spring Break! Not anymore though...sadly enough.

Anyways, what's up? My Spring Break went up until this past monday, and now I'm in school again. I went to Chicago for spring break, then to Madison, Wisconsin to see some family. In Chicago, I had a BLAST! I saw the Blue Man Group, a medievil show and dinenr called Medievil Times, an old time chicago gangster show called Tommy Gun's Garage, went to a huge 2 story McDonalds, and went to the John Shedd Aquarium, the Field Muesuem (3rd time in my life since I went there when I used to live in Mahomet, a city close to Chicago, and we also went to a Planetarium, but all in all, it was AWESOME!

In Madison, I saw my cousins, and it was awesome, as we went to go see the University of Wisconsin Men's Basketball team practice before they went to the NCAA Men's Tournament, which they're now in the Sweet 16. My cousins and family have gone to all the games so far in the tourny with my Uncle and Aunt, and plan on going to the Sweet 16 game, and possibly if the Badgers make it, the Elite 8, Final Four game, and National Championship game. They both been season ticket holders for the men's basketball team and football past 25 years starting with my Grandpa. Plus, both my cousin's family and my Aunt and Uncle wentwith the men's Basketball team to Italy with the players and coaches 2 summers ago, and then last summer both went with to Australia and New Zealnd to see the Women's Basketball team. Plus, my cousin has a kid on his traveling baseball team in Veron, Wisconsin whose mom is UW-Madison's Head Women's Basketball coach.

Now onto the games, I've been playing so much CoD4, and I'm on my 4th prestige, have racked up over 15,000 kills, have a 1.56 kill/death ratio, and love it. But yesterday, I got Rainbow Six Vegas 2 cause all my friends have it and it looks cool. PLus CoD4 has a new map pack that I can get but I'll play Vegas 2 until that map pack comes out.

Anyways, I'm flooded with homework and I've got to start on it, so I'll talk to you guys later!!!!!!!!!!!

The Four Seasons/Jersey Boys, Bioshock/Rainbow Vegas

Lately, I haven't been around Gamespot. I'm sorry to all of you who have been waiting for another blog. :(

But it's here! So listen up!!!!!

Recently I saw a commerical for the musical "Jersey Boys," and I was really interested in it. It's a musical about a very popular American Pop group by the name of "The Four Seasons," and for some of you older GS users (Iowa that's you!!!) you may recognize them. I just like the sound of their music, and it's a very fresh, clean sound. So then, I told my mom about the commercial, abd she says "Oh, I'd like to go to that!!!" So she got tickets for the musical, and it's ata theater in Minneapolis sometime in March.

But I also got some other stuff to listen to, a friend of mine here on GS and on Xbox Live told me about a band he LOVES. August Burns Red is the name of it, and I plan on listenting to it Leo!!!!

I've also been playing CoD4 SO MUCH, and I just can't get enough of it. What can I say, I love shooting heads off with my M40A3. But CoD4 is also fun because I get to spend time with some awesome people here on Gamespot, such as Apollo CJD and Strife88, both of which are AMAZING at CoD4. If you have XBL, please send me a friend request or give me your gamertag. My gamertag is Logan1616.

But there are just so many good games out there that I should get! I plan on getting Rainbow Six Vegas 2 when it arrives, but I'm thinking about getting Skate/Bioshock. I've got to talk to some people about it, and get some info on the two.

Also, next Friday is finals for me this Trimester. In my English **** I have like 3 finals. I have a A Midsummer Night's Dream final, a vocabulary final, and a final presentation about the deconstruction critical lens of A Midsummer Night's Dream. In AP World History, I have yet to do my presentation with my partner about Mesoamerica/Central America. Our teacher just hasn't called on us yet, so we're not slacking or anything. A lot of school work is headed for me though, and I've got to keep my focus with it.

I don't really have anything more to say, but have a great rest of the week!!!

-Logan

Like Oh my god......Just a New Blog :)

Well, what is new with you guys? I'm been so in love with CoD4 I almost forgot about Gamespot!! I'm now level 49 (out of 55) and I just unlocked the .50 Cal sniper rifle. IT ROCKS. I just love CoD4 so much. :)

I've played with soome guys here on Gamespot (Apollo CJD and Strife88) and man, they're really good!!!!!! Plus, it was A LOT of fun, and if Gamespot CoD4 tourny is open to all members, I may sign up. But if it's not, I may become a member, who knows.

I got 20/20 on my Spanish Vocabulary quiz today, and I'm very pleased, because I hate Spanish. :P

But yeah, not a lot has happened.

I'm just too caught up in CoD4, and I'm so excited for new games coming out in '08 like RSV2, and HOPEFULLY Gears of War 2. But, you never know.

Anyways, got to go do some homework!!!

Have a great week!!

I feel terrible.............

Most of you are probably thinking, what did Zeldaguy get himself into this time? Well I got myself into going to school and getting sick from all the kids that should be home for being sick!!!!!

Yeah, I didn't do anything wrong or nothing, I'm sick though. I've got a nasty cold, and it's really worn me out. I'm super tired, I feel super weak, I can barely get up and down the stairs, and my sinuses/nose is plugged so I have to breathe through my mouth. Ugh, it's terrible.

I probably won't be on live for those of you I'm going to add, (Strife and Apollo) but don't worryI will be on this weekend most likely. I've been taking Nyquil at night, and Mucinex during the day, so I should be better in no time. Mucinex will un-plug me, and Nyquil is just a very good medicine, although the taste of the medicine is terrible.

In other "stuff," I foudn out Tuesday Shaq was traded. But yeah, that's all.

Gaming wise, before I got sick, CoD4 was my best buddy. I seriously can't believe how much Live has to offer. I mean, it's not just 'multiplayer," gaming. It's a whole revolution. Live changed EVERYTHING. In fact, we recently went over "revolution," in my AP World History class. Anyways, I'm really impressed by Live, and what it has to offer. The movies, demos, content, EVERYTHING!

It blew my mind away.

Oh, and just yesterday, Mitt Romney officially dropped out of his Presidential Campaign. I seriously wasn't expecting this. But I don't have any political views, I mean, I do, but since I can't vote I won't express them because they may not appeal to you. (My Audience) :)

All in all though, I haven't really done a lot. Last two days, I've been home sick, watching TV, laying around. But yes, that is all.

One more thing though, it's really funny what some people say on Live. Although on the other hand, so is just down right terrible. I don't want to get into any details, for modding reasons.

That's all, have a nice weekend!!!

-Zeldaguy16

Awesome!!! Cool Stuff to Know

Well, just a quick blog. It's 5:29 AM here. (I woke up early for a reason, usually I wake up at 6:00)

1. Renewed my XBL subscription, and I love CoD4.

2. Added my Gamertag to profile. My GT is: Logan1616

-My gamertag is Logan1616 cause my favorite number is 16, sorry if it's not "creative:P"

3. Add me on Live

4. I love Live. :)

Going to play CoD4 now until school!

-11, Registration for Next Year, Changes, New Stuff

Holy Cow. I think today was one of the coldest days in my entire LIFE. Living in two very cold states (Maryland, Minnesota [Note: Maryland got very cold due to wind coming off from the ocean where we live]) I'm used to the cold. But today, was super cold. Walking down from our North Campus (we have two campus' due to our large student body, 5500+) I looked at our school's electronic calendar sign, a sign that scrolls things across the screen going on during the week, and it read -11F. Now with our wind chill we had today, it was -33F. It was TREMENDOUSLY cold. But I always like to be prepared so I had my Jacket, gloves, and a whole seperate fleece hood that covers my neck, nose, and my whole face, except for my eyes to see. Plus, I wore a sweatshirt, so I guess you could say I was fine, but it was still very chilly out.

Without the wind chill, we would have been fine, but with the wind, it's like your skin is getting ripped from your face. It's just the wind that is terrible, the cold, bitter wind, nipping and slicing your face open.:!

Yesterday, our school handed out registration forms for next year's classes. Our school also decided to start at 8:00 AM next year, rather than our current 7:25 AM. Plus, our school is now offering a "zero," hour in which students who are busy with electives/non-required courses that cover all 3 trimesters can now take electives during zero hour. Zero hour starts at 7:00 AM but is great for busy students. You have some choices in required courses but not a lot. For Junior Year you can choose AP US History or US History. Alphabetically by your last name you're put into either Communications or US Literature. Whichever one you don't take of Comm./US Lit, you take the other your senior year. Communications sounds too easy for me, as I'm in debate and speech, and in communications that's all you really do. (According to the course description in our course handbook.) I'm definately going to take AP U.S. History, as I'm currently taking AP World History. I hope they have an AP U.S. History book at Barnes and Noble, cause I got one for AP World History, and it's just like a little book that helps you understand stuff easier.

As for electives/non-required courses, I'm thinking about taking Arabic, Journalism, Journalism II, Psychology, Sociology, and Anatomy. I haven't really looked into the course handbook a lot so far, but I definately will. I may take some English courses as well, I'm not sure. Everything's really up in the air. OH! I almost forgot, as a junior you get to take careers. (Even thoguh it used to be called Career Investigation, and you took it as a Sophmore back before the Schedule Change 2 years ago when my brother was at my high school. My school used to be 4x4, which is 4 quarters, 4 periods, but now it's 3x6 where there's 3 trimesters and 6 periods. My brother, and two people who are now seniors in high school, fought to keep it the way it was, and went to speak to the school board many times, but the school district never listened. As a result, we now have fewer electives, and less time in periods. I wanted to try out the 4x4, but the 3x6 got into place when I was a freshman. The 2 other guys who spoke at our school board's meetings were 2 friends of my brothers, who were on the debate team. Every student who spoke at the school board meeting was on the debate team. Kind of ironic, haha. Plus, a friend's mom of mine spoke to say she was infavor of the 3x6. Kind of pissed me off at the time, but whatever.) Anyways, back to careers. This is a very useful class I guess you could say if you don't know what you want to be when you grow up. It shows you where your skills are, and what the best career would be for you. Plus, it's an easy A.

Tomorrow, I got a Math test. It should be easy though, as it mostly just setting things equal to each other and finding the variable. Nothing too hard. Also, "A Midsummer Night's Dream," has gotten really good lately, and the plot has been builiding up well. Next year, no more band, and no more Spanish. I'm sick of Spanish, and a lot of my friends are dropping out of band, and I just don't really want to do it. I mean I like Band, don't get me wrong, but it takes up a whole year, and the same thing is with Spanish. My schedule right now is:

1st Period: AP World History (North Campus)

2nd Period: Accelerated Geometry/Algebra II (Took this to take Pre Calc next year and Calc senior year) (South Campus)

3rd Period: Band (South Campus)

4th Period: Spanish II (South Campus)

5th Period: English II (South Campus)

6th Period: Biology (South Campus)

I have all those classes for the whole year, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters. You get 6 elective slots, one for each trimester. Spanish II A, B, and C. That's 3 electives. Band A, B, and C. There's 6. My required courses are all for the whole year.

So I mean, Spanish is just dumb, and stupid, never gonig to use it, and I just don't want to do Band cause it takes up a big chunk of my schedule. So yeah, I just want some new stuff. Plus, I've been doing this for 2 years, last year, I had Band and Spanish as my electives, and all my required courses lasted 3 trimesters. So I'm getting a little BORED for learning about Spanish and how to play chords for 2 years. Just want something new.

Not much of other stuff. Heath Ledger died, but I never saw any of his films. Nevermind, I take that back. I saw "The Patriot," but I never saw "Brokeback Mountain."

Sports wise, I just have to rant abotu some stuff. Tiki Barber, should just SHUT UP. At the beginning of the season, he criticized Eli Manning's Play Calling and Leadship Abilities.

YOU KNOW WHAT TIKI? I THINK YOU'RE THE ONE WHO HAD THE LEADERSHIP PROBLEMS.

I MEAN SERIOUSLY. He's calling Eli out, and then when he leaves they get to the Super Bowl? What's up with that? If he thinks Eli has problems, but yet the year after he retires they get to the Super Bowl, I think he's the one who had problems. That's right Tiki, I'm calling you out.

Plus, Maryland has to play Duke in College Park. So it's a home game, and you never know, if they beat the #1 team in the nation, why can't they beat 'ol Duke? Going to be a good game in College Park this weekend.

Well that just about does it for me so long

-Logan:)

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!! (Holy Cow!!!!!!!) (WOOT!!!!!!!!)

WOW. WOW. WOW.

Ok. Just got done watching unranked Maryland GO TO Chapel Hill, and come out with the win over the #1 UNC Tar Heels.

First statement.

1. UNC (University of North Carolina) is the OSU of College Basketball. Theory stated below:

-They were ranked number 1 and got upset in big games. (OSU's 2 College Football National Championships)

-They were over-confident and believed they could do anything. (OSU though less of LSU and Florida in their 2 title losses)

-They have a great player in Tyler Hansbrough who couldn't produce in the loss to Maryland. (Troy Smith/James Laurinaitis didn't play solid enough to come otu with a national title)

-They have a coach who has a good history, but hasn't done too well in National Championship. Roy Williams only has one Natl. Title, even though when he was at Kansas he was in the Final 4 more times, but with no Natl. Title. (Jim Tressel of OSU hasn't done well in the post-season National Title Games)

Therefore, I absolutely HATE over-confident, arrogant, and ignorant teams who may have star-studded lineups, but never produce in the big games.

Plus, James Gist of Maryland was a total BEAST in the game, racking up 22 points along with 14 rebounds.

James Gist > Tyler Hansbrough

Also #4 UCLA has just lost to unranked USC. O.J. Mayo had 16 points, and struggled at times, but the Trojans came otu with a win.

Late Tonight, Clemson goes to Cameron Indoor Stadium to battle it out with Duke, who they have recently had bad blood with. Last year, Clemson lost to the Blue Devils on a controversial call. Hopefully this time, there will be none of that. I'm predicting Duke to come out with a win, even though I absoluely hate them.

In other sports news, the St. Louis Rams Owner Georgia Frontiere died Friday. She was 80 years old, and had been hospitalized for several months while fighting Breast Cancer.

Now, onto the Nevada caucuses. It's been announced that Hilary Clinton, and Mitt Romney will be the projected winners in Nevada, with 90% of the precints in for the Democrats, and 95% in for the GOP. (Grand Old Party, also known as the Republicans.)

In other news, a teenager who took part in the Former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's assassination was arrested near the Afghan Border. The teen also admitted to taking part in other acts of violence against Shiites during Ashura.

Anyways, that's all for now.

Head over to www.espn.com for the latest sports news, and www.cnn.com for the latest US/World News.

Just an update for ya.

EDIT: When I tried to go play on live yesterday night, I found out my subscription had ran out. So, should I renew Xbox Live for a Year, or get a $60 game????

Note: Xbox Live is pretty good, and I like it, but I just don't know if I should get a new game or not.

Also: Include Possible game titles that you think are good.

Just going to update my week for you. It's been going pretty good so far.

In Spanish, I got 20/20 on my vocab quiz, and 24/24 on my past-tense irregular verbs test. I'm happy with that since I don't really like Spanish, even though I'm ok at it.

NCAA Football 08 has been coming along just fine, and it's a great game. Recommend it to any sports fan.

Our monitor on one of our computers died so we got a 24" Widescreen LCD at BestBuy. We had some coupons and stuff, so that's why our family decided to get a big one.

In our English class, we've been reading Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream," and it's been quite the comedy. I'm seriously getting into it a lot.

In Sports, I still think the Patriots are going to win the SuperBowl over the Green Bay Packers. Although, I'd like the Packers to win, it's not very likely, but it'd be very cool to witness the game if that did indeed happen.

Also, I haven't played Assassin's Creed lately, due to the fun gameplay of NCAA Football 08. I'll update that later.

Anyways, I'll do a much bigger blog later this week, so watch out for it.

-Logan

It's Over, It's done with, LSU is the National Champion. (Plus other stuff)

Alright, so one week ago, some people at school say "Hey Logan, whodo you got winning the Natl. Title?" I respond, "LSU all the way, Glenn Dorsey is too much of a beast and Todd Boeckman isn't too good in my opinion." Then, the say "HA! Yeah right, Ohio State is so good, and they'll kill!" Now, I'm thinking this: You've stated no facts what-so-ever on why OSU is better, you don't know anything about sports and all you do is root for CRAPPY, LOSING TEAMS like Ohio State. ( 2 straight NCAA National Championship losses, and 1 NCAA Men's National Championship lost. Two of those to Florida.) Last Tuesday, the day after the straight up massacre of Ohio State in the BCS National Championship, I hear not one peep or word about why Ohio State is going to win.

All I have to say to people who think the crappy team is going to win: KNOW YORU FACTS.

That's the ONE thing I hate about people who like sports, they don't know they're facts, and they're over-confident. Seriously, I HATE over-confident people, like Seattle Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren. He staed in an interview shown yesterday "Well, we've got experience. The Packers are good, but they've only gotl like 9 guys who've been to the playoffs." WHAT HAPPENED? Seattle lost. Big time. I HATE OVER-CONFIDENT AND SELFISH PEOPLE. Plus, I don't think the Sweater Vest is working out too well for ya Tressel. ;)

Anyways, away from my rant about how Ohio State is a selfish, over-confident University, let's talk about other things, shall we? :)

I bought NCAA Football 08 yesterday, but it was either that, NBA Street Homecourt (heard it's pretty good) or NFL TOur. (I know the reviews haven't been good, but PastaPadre [www.pastapadre.com] has told me it's a fun, competitive game. And that guy KNOWS his facts, so I trust him 100%:D)

It's a really great game, with a deep recruiting feature that let's you create any kind of prospect (I created Tyrelle Pryor for you Bluezy:P) and you recruit players by choosing a certain pitch such as Training Facilities, Academic Prestige, TV exposure, etc. So I created a Dynasty with the Badgers, and I love it. Although I'm REALLY terrible on defense, I love the gameplay and design.

In other news, I was really bored yesterday after watching Gladiator (GREAT MOVIE, I understood it a lot more because the first time I saw it I was 10, but god, the story is AMAZING, and wow, I just HATE the emperor in that movie because he's so selfish and over-confident in himself. [Hey, that guy sounds like Ohio State, what a coincidence!] ) so I went Wikipedia Surfing and I came along the "New Seven Wonders of the World," and I got some cool desktop backgrounds. I'll post the pictures tomorrow.

After watching Gladiator, I really wanted to watch 300 again, so our family is going to watch 300 now (I've already seen it, but I love it) and I'll post those pictures tomorrow!

PS: Google "O Fortuna," by Carl Orff. IT IS THE BEST PIECE of music I've EVER heard.

Have a great week!

-Logan

A huge week. Check it out.

How's life? You, looking at this page, how is life going for you? Is it treating you well?

Lately, life has been fun! I recently got Assassin's Creed, and at the moment I'm trying to complete Mile High Club on Vetern for CoD4. Insanely hard. Hardest level I've ever played in my life. But I'll battle through it. Assassin's Creed is REALLY fun, and has an engaging plot. Although I haven't completed it yet, the story hasn't been confusing for me at all. But anyways, I guess I'll tell you guys about my regular, daily life now.

School has been a little hard on me lately, with two projects. First, I have to do a "region," project. My region of the world is Meso/Central America. The time period is 1000-1750 CE. (Common Era, the politically correct term now-a-days.) Now it's not due till the end of January, it's still a pretty huge project. We have to a like a country report for every country in the region, which is, I don't know, like 6-10 countries(:?) a leader analysis, a presentation, some other stuff, and some other stuff! The next project is an English project. Although, it's not really an English project, it's more ofa "Sales and Marketing," project. We make any kind ofbeverage product we want, market it to a targtet market, create ads, posts, anything to basically sell the project. We have to create the ads and stuff, and write an essay to explain how the product will sell. I'm in groups for both projects, so I guess that'll make it easier, but still. Our beverage is called "Double Threat," and it's an energy drink. Don't ask me why, I didn't come up with the idea.

Also, my math teacher got engaged to her boyfriend. I know none of you know her, but it's coolbecause she's a really cool, laid back teacher. Oh! I know what I'mforgetting. In AP World History, next week we're taking a vote in our class. Our teacher is calling it a "class caucus," and we're going to compare to the caucus which is next week. Don't know where it is, I forget, New Hampshire, maybe? Don't know.Haha, it was funny though, cause my brother who's away at college at Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota called us two nights ago, and he's like, "You know what happened to me? I got $100 in the mail for phone-banking for Obama's campaign," and it was just kind of cool. He's the leader of the "Students for Barack Obama," down at his University, and the group has like 300 or so members. So don't knoqw what he spent the money on, but he has a lot, since he's also a manager at the Target down in Winona. In the class caucus I'll probably vote for Barack, since I feel like he's a good guy that knows what's right for America. It was also kind of a surprise to see Hilary finish 3rd. A good thing for Edwards there.

Now, to all the bowl games.

Outback Bowl:Tennessee 21-Wisconsin 17: The Outback bowl was an EXCELLENT game, and a great matchup between Wisconsin and Tennessee. It was a tough game for both teams, butTennessee came out on top. Wisconsin was down by 4 with about 2 minutes to go, and they were driving pretty well, when Tyler Donovan threw one up, but it was a little under-thrown, and picked off by a Tennessee backup safety to seal the win.

AT&T Cotton Bowl: Mizzou 38-Arkansas 7: WOW. JUST WOW. Ok, I didn't know that Tony Temple was such a major BEAST! 281 rushing yards, and 4 TD's! TOTAL BEAST. BOTH Cotton Bowl records. First of all, Run DMC didn't show up, yeah he had a TD, but it was TOO LITTLE, TOO LATE. TONY TEMPLE shows up in the big games. But it just makes me wonder, why didn't Mizzou use him like the in the BiG 12 Championship vs. Oklahoma? If they played this well, they should have won the Big 12 title.

Capital One Bowl: Michigan 41-Florida 35: Great way for Lloyd to go out. Was a TOTAL OFFENSIVE game, and very fun to watch. The crowd was excited, Tebow had a great game in the losing effort, but the key guy for Michigan was Arrington. Did you see that one side line grab he where his arm went AROUND the CB's back, and caught it? TOTAL BEAST for a guy that weighs like 165!

Rose Bowl: USC 49-Illinois 17: Alright, I truly wanted Illinois to win, but I knew they wouldn't. USC is FINALLY healthy, and in Pasadena=No Chance for Illinois. They're crazy about OJ Mayo in Southern Cali, but they're also crazy about Joe McKnight. This freshman had a good game, and USC dominated on both sides of the ball. Not much else to say.

Allstate Sugar Bowl: Georgia 41-Hawaii 10: Ok. Seriously, this one should have been closer. But then again, with Mathew Stafford, Georgia was red hot coming into this game. Hawaii comes from a weak conference, and no one could really predict this one. But it was UGLY. Hawaii just couldn't get anything going. Colt Brenon was a NO SHOW, and did zippo, nothing, nada. I had expected Hawaii to play better, and I expected it to be closer, but with the same outcome, Georgia winning.

Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: West Virginia 48-Oklahoma 28: WOW. This should have been WAY closer. With the way OU played in the Big 12 title, they should have played way better. But then again, over-confident Oklahoma team coming off a huge Big 12 title win+West Virginia Team that's mad cause they beloved coach left his Alma Mater to go to Michigan=Huge success for West Virginia. This was OUTSTANDING. NOEL DEVINE, the freshman running back from West Virginia IS A BEAST. No, he's a MONSTER. This guy is so fast, but so powerful, he's like a bullet, literally. Super fast, and can kill yeah in one shot. He can hit a home run (meaning go all the way for a touchdown) at any given time in any given game. No matter, where, or who he goes against. TOTAL MONSTER.

Orange Bowl: Kansas 24-Virginia Tech 21: Didn't really watch it. boring game anyhow, neither team had a lot of offense. Wanted VT to win due to their school shooting, but hey, just didn't go their way.

PREDICTION OF THE ALLSTATE BCS CHAMPIONSHIP GAME: I want LSU to win. They will win. Ohio State is ALWAYS over-confident. Look at last year, got KILLED 41-14. They had the Heisman winner, Tory Smith. He was drafted in the 5th round? How's he doing, well he's in Baltimore, where the Ravens recently fired head coach Brian Billick. Plus in NCAA Men's Basketball Ohio State lost to Florida.

Anyways, that's that! Have a GREAT WEEKEND! And thanks for reading! :)
