1080p 60fps ultra settings is maybe next gen. 4k has gotta be at least 2 console generations away...
For one thing, no one has 4k tv's; For another, very little content is available in 4k. Therefore, 1080p remains the consumer standard and will for quite sometime.
Netflix cuts you off after 3 sd cartoons for my kids because they want to save bandwith and fibre tv will throw a screen saver on after a couple shows...Heaven forbid, 4k ever becomes the industry standard when companies are pinching pennies like that...
Also, i think you are looking at least $1000 and probably closer to $2000 to get 4k at a decent framerate for even todays games...
@Barighm: i think the systems can't handle the graphics with split screen. They are struugling to hit 1080p 60 fps in closed environments and 1080p/900p 30 fps in open environments. Adding split screen means a lot more processing power...
@brn-dn: with updates and apps, yes. They have a resposibility to make sure a product you just purchased works. Or that their services continue to work on their own devices.
Take for instance everyone who bought a ps tv which is a ps vita with a tv out. Netflix, Tune in Radio, You tube etc. not supported, the store is being removed. I still saw these devices on the shelves at Christmas time...
@Scream_AimxFire: agreed. Ps move, ps eye, ps camera (until VR?), ps phone, psp, ps vita, ps tv, 3D gaming, 3D movies...all hype and no first party support. A big $#@& you to all the sorry saps who bought into the hype and trusted in the company and their products....
Not entirely related but i have 2 xbox ones and a ps4... bought the 2nd xbox one because i prefer it...
It's nice being able to game both in the man cave and the family room as well as 2 people being able to play your digital catalogue at the same time. I believe you can do this with 2 ps4s also.
