It's ture. If Halo 3 had no multiplayer it wouldn't sell as well as if it did. Most people i know said they wouldn't play a game without Multiplayer. It's true lemmings face the reality.Hopkins_J

Well, alot of PS3 games I like I play only for the online once beaten. Also warhawk is online only. So basically, if you have broadband interweb and an exbox you probably have live. It's not that hard to get.

Let me clear this up.

I think Halo 2 is a dissapointment gameplay wise.

Halo 1 is a masterpiece.

Master Chief is a boring flat character and can be alot better than he is now. I do hope halo 3 fleshes out his character more.

MC is fully fleshed out as a character in "The Fall of Reach". It thoroughly describes everything about him since he was 6 years old and how he "graduated" from the Spartan-II program. His appearance is also described many times throughout. If you read the novels you'll really like him as a character.

Sure, it would've been nice to see something that details his background in the games but everything you need to know isin the novels...plus, you never know, that CG teaser ofHalo 3 showed chief as a kid. It could just be fanservice for the sake of the trailer or they might add a bit of background for MC in Halo 3.

I hate reading with a passion. Thank you for not being sarcastic but please understand that I will never read the books and I guess that means I will only understand the story from what the games show.

No I'll leave this board for the quest for food. Before I leave please consider my points.

Basically, in the games he bearly says a word, and all he does is kill his enimies. I'd like a character like Dante, a wisecracking, cocky, demonslayer. That's cool for me. I don't like MC, Freeman, or the guy from Doom cause they bore me. There is little to no character development. I hope you will get what I'm saying and not that I don't know all the fine detals of the halo story and flame me for it instead of considering my point of the post.

I never said I liked Half-Life. My topic was about how flat of a character MC is. As most can see this topic has strayed from that cause I didn't know MC's name was JOHN.

How much personality would you have left if you had undergone military training since you were 6 years old? Anyways, It's made up for by the other characters in the game though. As you said, the Arbiter is one example, but then there's also the friendly marines that support you in fights. The combat chatter has always been one of the best parts of Halo IMO.

The combat chatter is funny at times. Same for what cortana says when the two of them are alone. I just think Cheif could have been more er........talkative.
