I never said I liked Half-Life. My topic was about how flat of a character MC is. As most can see this topic has strayed from that cause I didn't know MC's name was JOHN.

All I've seen you do is whine about how he hates Halo instead of trying to argue the point he makes. Master Chief is an incredibly boring, shallow character. I too feel Halo 3 would turn out better and more intriguing were they to put some actual character into the character. But I guess if they didn't bother to do that in the first game they're not gonna start now.

Let me clear this up.

I think Halo 2 is a dissapointment gameplay wise.

Halo 1 is a masterpiece.

Master Chief is a boring flat character and can be alot better than he is now. I do hope halo 3 fleshes out his character more.

Actually he pretty blatantly doesn't follow orders. If you read the books, you'd realize that's how Halo 1 got started.

Master Chief is his rank. His real name is John, later naming him John-117.

Solid Snake and Link and cybernetically enhanced, so no, they couldn't touch MC if they had God mode on.

Forgot to mention that I shouldn't have to read a book on the series for characterization. That is no excuse for him in the GAME
