In the grand scheme of things, mic work. Mic work draws people in, but you've gotta at least be a decent worker or you'll wear thin quickly. Once people get bored of your on-screen character, they're either gonna look elsewhere or tune out altogether.

i sound like a noob but what does "getting its own tapings" mean?carlito_is_cool

Simply having their Tuesday night shows taped at separate venues, as opposed to being taped right after Smackdown in the same arena.

[QUOTE="_Muta"]Don't let the opinions of a few whiny, elitist douchebags over at the RoH boards keep you from buying the DVD. It was a great show, top to bottom, and the crowd wasn't nearly as bad people are saying they were. Certainly not enough to destroy the show. Danielson/Evans, Claudio/Cabana, Nigel/Delirious, KENTA/Richards vs. Briscoes, and AJ/Joe were all good - great matches that are worth going out of your way to see.

Coming from a guy who's been to every LI show from GBHIV on, last night's crowd wasn't anywhere close to touching the **** crowds from the last 3 LI shows.The_Dude14

Thanks for the report.  Believe me when I say I trust your word a lot more than the ROH forums.  Though, the whining about the crowd has very little bearing on my not being too interested in the show

I hope you enjoy tonight's show as well.  I hope you'll let us know how things go, because I am really intertested in this show.  Living vicariously is better than nothing, I guess.

Just got back from Edison. Awesome show. Undercard was decent enough. KENTA/Davey and Joe/Dragon were both MOTYC.

Joe and Dragon was friggin insane. I marked out completely throughout the entire thing. When someone in my section said "55 minutes have passed", i was like, WTF? The quickest hour of my entire life, and a testament to just how awesome it was. Their best match, by far. Leagues above their match at Midinight Express Reunion. Great crowd tonight too which added to the awesome atmosphere of Joe/Dragon. The near falls were so insane and well done. At times, i truly thought Joe was going to do it. (Same with Davey in KENTA/Davey)  Definitely up there with Joe/Punk II and the great classic 60 minute time limit draws in general.

Dragon dove right onto Joe in my area. :) It was hilarious, everything became so chaotic that half the people just stood for the rest of the match after that spot. Dragon actually hit some guy's girlfriend really hard who didn't get out of the way in time.

Too early to make a call, really. I only watch Smackdown occasionally, so i haven't seen several of the new guys that were called up. I definitely think Aaron Stevens and Elijah Burke could go far, though, but it all depends on how they are used, obviously. For instance, Elijah as a manager = :|. He's not a bad promo, but not a strong one either, which pretty much defeats the purpose of making him a manager. Elijah has all the makings of a great underdog babyface. (which they'll definitely need in a few months since Mysterio is pretty much done)

Nothing, really. He used to be a fine worker up until around 2000 and has since gone downhill. However, he's still one of the most underrated promos going today, heel or babyface.

Did Orton kill a Gypsy's daughter or something a few years ago? The boy is cursed.

Not that i'm complaining.
