4K is not for the general user right now. MS may be trying to open the console up to the business market and this is where the feature may be used as a lot of businesses have too much money to burn on things like this. Also the Kinects features, Can you imagine how much money they will make if the Xbox One becomes the standard for business conference calls..

Also they may be planning on running this console for another 10 years which future proofs it just in case 4k becomes a standard inbetween that time frame.

@mjswooosh @grognard Sounds pretty accurate to me. I think Sony will have a hard time clawing back any market share from the disaster they had this generation. I just hope Microsoft don't do a Sony and push customers away by thinking they know better than the customers..
