Anyone who passes on this game solely because of one review is a moron.

@getyeryayasout: They realized that Japan isn't the most important market, it's the western market that's the biggest and most vital.
As mentioned in this thread already, the Japanese market has changed and people prefer portable gaming more than stationary gaming -- it's why the 3DS & mobile gaming is doing well there.
@_hazbro_: If you're not feeling comfortable in most battles outside of a dungeon, don't even bother going in yet. The dungeons in Bravely Default are really short and simple for a JRPG, but they also don't let you do a full recovery before the boss like some JRPGs do, so you really need to be strong to tackle them efficiently.
Or you could turn battles off and run back to town every time you almost die in a dungeon, but that doesn't seem like much fun.
That's what I did earlier on, ran back into the closest town to the inn and then ran back into the dungeon and reset the encounter rate.
@roboccs: No, I was just annoyed at how often enemies would pop up while I was in dungeons. I've never played any of the Final Fantasy games (nor many traditional JRPGs). A lot of this is basically new to me, especially how often you run into enemies, so I cut it in half from the default setting and now it's kind of screwed me over for the first big boss of the game.
Anyone playing Bravely Default, don't be like me and set the encounter rate to below 0. Now I have to grind before the end of chapter 1 boss.
Wait, so they still have the same playoff format from the 70's?
I did not know that
The gold and bronze medals are the only ones winning, to miss out on a bronze isn't good
I'm not familiar with what it was in the 70s, but basically the two losers from the semi-finals face each other for bronze and the two winners from the semi's face each other in the finals for Gold.
I heard this year that Yuna Kim from South Korea got robbed from women's figure skating, so says everyone. I never watched it, but my gf is Korean was was pretty upset lol.
@Jaysonguy: They lost 5-0 against Finland in the bronze medal game.
Team USA what's happening lol.
Phil Kessel in tears, hugging his sister right now. Sorry Team USA, but our Defense is incredible.
The 3DS is a better buy right now. There's a ton of great software as well as on the eShop too. Wii U still has a ways to go.
