its worth looking into at the very least.
NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got this game for free and its not even worth it. go to the arcade and play the quarter to play!!
socem007
its true, there isnt much the the presentation of the game. lame menus, some pointless but nifty extras. but really, a quarter a play for one of the instalments. or50$ for all of them, which you can play to your hearts content.
simply put, if you like the series its prolly worth a buy. I get quite a bit of play out of mine, even more when I have a friend over.
really though, ive put far more than 50$ into metal slug coin op machines over the years. a great investment if you like the series.
I just got a newsletter from nintendo canada, they say its the 11th.
from the get go nintendo didnt think the wii would catch on this quickly. they had to raise their sales and profit expectations. Their production capacity is only so high, and increasing would only benefit them in the short term and cost them in the long term once demand naturally dies down.
and this holding back units to bolster hype is ridiculous, the hype is there, they want to sell units, ninty is even ashamed of not being able to provide units for the consumer. They issued a publc appology in japan for not having enough DS units, I doubt theyre looking to undersell now. and every time someon goes into a store and cant buy a wii, it gives the competition a chance to get some extra sales. less units = bad business sense. nintendo is not a stupid company
also, nintendo is using slower shipping methods to save some extra money, meaning that units arent getting out as quickly as theyre producing them.
and finally, its been out for all of 5 or 6 months and has sold close to 6million and something units? that is a ridiculous amount of units to produce.
it will go the way of duke nukem forever, there will always be those people who beleive the game will come out dispite a 5 year delaystevo_123
yea, except for the fact that this game was first announced (concept was announced mind you) less than a year ago.
although its not a good sign that they lost a publisher. its not exactly duke nukem.
hopefully someone will come and support nibris.
ska ska ska skate or die....... TWO!@!!
The VC is way too overpriced for straight emulation. There's just about no cost involved in releasing first-party titles, firstly. Secondly, is Urban Champion really worth $5, let alone the same amount of money as Legend Of Zelda or SMB 1-3?
And look at this -- it's an N64 with 10 games for the price of 3 on the VC. Regardless of what you think about the 10 games, keep in mind that those would be fetching $10 a pop on their system as well. Instead of buying Smash Bros for $10 on VC, why not get the Gamecube version for $3 on eBay? And Super Ghouls N Ghosts is coming to 360's Live Arcade and will probably be $5... why pay $8 on VC?
And Nintendo isn't going to honor VC releases after Wii... you think that you'll be able to download them on the NEXT Nintendo console? Yeah, right. As long as people keep buying them, though, Nintendo will keep walking all over us with their outrageous price structure. That being said, I've bought a couple and will probably buy a couple more; I'm part of the problem. Just saying though, it's outrageous and I'm tending to lose a lot of respect for Nintendo in how they handle a great many things.
Generic_Dude
they have the right to charge for their intellectual property.
and take another look at that ebay listing. it sold for 42$ american plus shipping and insurance. and whos to say I wanted the games that were included in that package.
the vc is a great place to get a couple games you missed out on. or to experience the games you no longer have . sure you can go out and get stuff on ebay. but think of games like final fantasy super mario rpg chrono trigger and countless others like them, where you can go on ebay and get them for .. =o 60-100$, and thats on average. or, provided they come to the vc would be a hell of a lot cheaper...
the prices may not always be great, and you may not think the price is worth it for the game. but that doesnt make the price scheme outrageous.
[QUOTE="thegame27_basic"]Sadness has a neat concept around it and has much potential. But I would not be suprised if the game flops due to bad graphics, gameplay, and story. A lot of games have popped up with a lot of good concept, but the game ends up sucking balls. So we shall see.
helium_flash
Exactly.
exactly what?
sadness could easily be a bad game, but it could just as easily be an amazing game.
like one of the other posters said.. we hardly know anything about the game, so how can you doom it to failure?
I don't understand why fanboys on this forum hype these games from these no-name, unproven developers. Yes, i hope they are good, and yes i'm glad they are supporting the Wii, but seriously! They are obviously going to do horrible! The games have been delayed before, and all we've seen from both Sadness and Orb are PC demonstrations and artwork. Sadness is going to be in BLACK AND WHITE! Noone is going to buy a game in BLACK AND WHITE. And Sadness was suppose to appear at E3 LAST YEAR.
Who here thinks that these games are destined for failure?
helium_flash
I for one love the black and white concept. the entire concept of sadness to be perfectly honest.
I think these games can do very well, every developer was a no-name developer at some point.
and last years E3 nibris wasnt a recognized nintendo dev, apparantly the have gained that status.
all that being said, we havent seen much of these games, either nibris and crossbeam are being super tight liped, or there just isnt much to say. im not sure which though.
