Hello.

I'm having a problem with my sound card. It says that something, like headphones or speakers, are plugged into my laptop. But there isn't.

Because of this, I cannot hear anything through my laptop speakers.

FYI. the sound card does work. When I do plug in my headphones I can hear like there is no tomorrow. But like I stated before, once I unplugged them, my laptop is still reading that they are plugged in.

I hope this makes sense....

I've personally become a big fan of the Rock Band instruments. The new Strat is very well designed, in my opinion. The buttons feel great, the shape and size of the guitar is good and the strum bar feels good when being used. The only downside to the strum bar is, of course, some people prefer to have a strum bar that makes a clicking noise, but it's not that big of a deal to me.

The new Rock Band drum set is of good quality too, and since it can be used with WT I would think that it would be a lot less awkward to play WT formatted for 4 drums rather than having to play Rock Band with a set that has one too many drums on it. I don't even know if the Guitar Hero drums work for Rock Band, but I'd prefer to not find out, since I would never personally go out and buy them.

Of course, after I had the chance to play Guitar Hero WT for a day I decided if I never played it again I wouldn't miss it a bit. Rock Band just feels so so so so much better.

I have to say that I think whether or not the bundle is worthwhile to you probably depends on how hardcore you are into the game and its peripherals. The drum kit, in my opinion, is a great step forward from the old because it is much better at detecting repeated beats on the pads.

On the old drum pads, for example, whenever I would have to do a fast, rolling snare, I could never do it because the pads wouldn't detect the fast beats. So, this alone, for someone playing frequently on expert, is a great reason to pick up a new drum set. Plus, it's wireless and that usually means more convenient.

Also, as far as the guitar goes, obviously if you disliked the first version of the Strat from Rock Band 1 you're not going to feel very happy with the new one. However, if you liked the old guitar than I think you'll find the new one to have the best feel you can find for playing the game. The buttons are less "clicky", and the strum bar feels more stiff and secure, which makes for better control for fast strumming.

I opted for the new bundle because I felt the need for the improved drums, and I just decided I could sell off my old drums, mic, and game while keeping the old guitar, which I think was a wise purchase.

I rented the game and found it to be increedibly boring, buggy, and worst of all, not fun whatsoever. I would say give it a major pass, or rent it if you want to find out for sure.

Have any of you guys actually played Mercenaries? Seriously, that game is completely terrible. I was kind of excited for it before it came out and went out and rented it and I agree completely with this review. When it comes down to it, all of the problems aside from the technical aspects, the game is just plain NOT FUN.

I will say that a 5/10 might be a little harsh, although I wouldn't give it over a 6/10 max. It truly is a big piece of crap though. After playing a game like GTA IV, which, although not worthy of a 10 in my opinion, still was able to create a great, fun, immersive city along with a story with believable characters with unique personalities, and was just FUN in general, playing Mercs. 2 just feels like a walk through the inside of a septic tank.

So, don't B.S. the review until you play the game!

Good lord, if you're so into the story of MGS and wanting to find out the conclusion of the story, then why the heck haven't you bothered to play the game yet?

Grow up.
