[QUOTE="ablafasaolin"]i have an i5 2500k so its def not being bottleneckedsuperclocked
Next time that you benchmark, make sure that you're not forcing VSync via the nVidia control panel. 3DMark11 caps the framerate at 20fps if VSync is turned on...

ok thx i do have v snyc forced on, but would that improve my gaming perfomance as well?

Just out of curiosity, what scores do you have for your CPU and Graphics for the "Windows Experience Index"? Is CPU higher than the video? If not then you do have some (however slight) bottleneck happening, and you'd only see an increase once you overclock your CPU. That said, what resolution are you running? Screen resolution can also make a difference as lower res tends to put more stress on the CPU instead of the GPU..Stinger78
my i5 is overclocked to 4.4 ghz. im playing at 1080 p

mgs 4 is certainly one of my favs of all time, along with super mario 64, sonic . mgs 3 is just as good a game tho, i would consider it better but the mgs 4's controls are just perfect while mgs 3's left alot to be desired

i have the gigabyte gtx 560 ti, and from what iv read on the internet, they can reach a stable overclock of about 1010 mhz on the core clock. iv tried using both gigabyte oc guru, and another gigabyte overclocking software. but even when i overclock it with these i see no perfomance increase at all, in fact i even did i 3d mark benchtest and my perfomance was equal to stock clock vs the overclock. now im just guessing that this software is just not even overclocking because i tuened to the core clock speed way past what would be stable just to see what would happen and nothing changed, i was able to do evverything as normal, is it just the software being crappy? what am i doing wrong?

[QUOTE="ablafasaolin"]

alright so i just put everything all together and plugged it in, problem is when i press the power button. the LEDs and fans start up for about a second then they just shut off, im gussing i got my wiring wrong or something but would anyone have an idea of what it could possibly be? it doesnt even start up

BlackDevil99

I had a similar problem on my first start-up, scared teh hell out of me
for me it ended up being I was using the wrong PCI-E Power bus plug, there were a few options, the 4-, 6-. and 8-pin plug on a 8-prong socket. If that sounds familiar try different combinations, Mine ended up being just the 4 plugs.
you should also try it with just one stick of RAM in just your primary RAM slot, try each stick individually to see if you have a bad stick

if niether of those work, come back for more advice...

k thx ill give those a try
