Might be.  Might not be.
I assume  your rating comes from your experience with the game?  How many hours have you logged again?

[QUOTE="G4mbl3"] [QUOTE="adrian1480"]"The visuals are shaping up, although we’ve been told they are only at about 60% in the build we saw. That means no depth of field, no anti-aliasing, and stuttering framerate. The final game will hit 30 fps, which is impressive when you consider the size of Southern Cross and the amount of activity."

It still looks like crap. Depth of field and anti-aliasing can only help so much. The textures looks bland and muddy. I'd rather play GTA SA than that piece of crap. I smell another Getaway.

Bland and muddy? Are you basing these opinions off of that ONE picture?  A few more are below.  Maybe they don't look so "bland and muddy" do you.  In fact, they look just the opposite: vibrant and sharp.  And keep your perspective: 60%.  If its buttery smooth and the physics are on point, it could also be a winner.

now really, i could care less about whether or not this game is any good.  It's not my type of game.  But let's at least have some balance in the conversation so that we can talk about something's pros and cons.  In the last pic, the guys boots and socks alone should shore up your issues with "textures" being bland and muddy.

Meaning the actual quality of the graphics won't improve much, if at all. And why the hell does he think it's impressive the final version will run at 30FPS? :| What the f? 30FPS is a god damn requirement not an achievement.

Doesn't the final sentense answer your last question?
Like, why would you bold HALF of a sentence...then ask a question that the UNBOLDED part of the sentence later answers?  Where are you from?  Who does that?

All I know is the Sony can not afford to not have GTA come out first on its console. If Xbox 360 gets it first and at the same time, then that would really hurt Sony.

So I fully expect Sony to cut a BIG FAT check to R* for the exclusive rights.

Soory lemmings.

-Ninja_Dog-

They just might...but truth and reality suggest that if it comes down to a discussion about MONEY, MS has infinitely more that Sony can put on the table.  MS are the venerable New York Yankees of the industry.  The question is whether they will pull the trigger or if RS is even interested in selling rights like that.  I would hope not, but MS has stupid money.

rockstar will make M$ pay for using dvd9. GTA4 is going to be time exclusive as always.McLarenAK47

would we not presume that RockStar was one of the 1st Devs that MS went and talked to when plotting out what was and wasn't necessary for their upcoming 360?  I don't know if you all listened to any Allard interviews, but they went to great lengths to meet with a great number of developers to get a feel from them as to what was necessary, what was important, and how to make as much happen as possible.

[QUOTE="jechtshot78"] [QUOTE="ferretzor"]Well, SOCOM is the PS2's only real great online game, imo. It would be cool to see a ps3 socom game.

Ratchet Deadlocked ftw.

ject, I just picked up PGR3 and I'm trying to figure out if I should hold onto it.  PM me and let me know what you think of it!

[QUOTE="AdrianWerner"][QUOTE="Bastard360"]

I guess I'll check out the PC version.

Any chance of this Ghost Recon actually being good, or will it be a dissapointment like the second?

Xanog1

It will only dissapoint if you get the watered down PC version.:x

Watered down? DDpeneds..it will have watered down visuals(altough the latests 360 screnshots don't look a lot better than pc pnes, they do look better, but it's not huge diffrence), but at the same time 360 GRAW will have watered down gameplay. Sorry I prefer a bit worse graphics, but real tactical gameplay, yoyu obviously care for graphics only, being contnt with arcade GhostRecon And in tactical shooters graphics don't mean much...I mean..this game looks like crap compared to even PC GRAW and yet you can be sure Armed Assault will own the living crap out of any military shooter UbiSoft will ever make

 at that sham #ss grass. lol.
looks like it needs rogaine with monoxodil!  ROTFL!

maybe I'm just too used to DOA4's grass now.  I can't take backwards steps.

Did anyone else just catch that 60 minutes special about LAN parties, the "cyberathelete" and John Wendel??! It was pretty darn cool. I can give a recap, if necessary, but in summary, it was coming from the perspective that with the average age of gamers being 30 and given that gaming has surpassed other forms of entertainment (financially), that the evolution of gaming into sport and competition was inevitable...and that John Wendel (professional gamer), LAN parties and all that stuff is bringing gaming mainstream...and that cyber sports (with people who only play games as their jobs) are inevitable. It was pretty awesome.

So what do you guys think? Are we near the dawn of the gaming sport age? Will American and Europeans take to gaming like movies, making the best gamers in the world RockStars (like they are in Korea)?!??

DISCUSS.
