At this point it is my suspicion that Microsoft are having a go at EA's "Worst Company" title.
EA probably showed the trophy to Microsoft one day when they invited them over to their house for some evil scheming, and Microsoft thought "This would look really well above my fireplace, I must have it"
@ArmorGod Bah, Aristocracy implies nobility, there is nothing noble about EA. They're as greedy as a Thai hooker at a Top 300 Richest Men bachelor party.
@Ladiesman17 This. Also make them more widely available and adjust prices based on region. Selling games for 60 euros in a country the the average salary is 400 euros will never work.
@SkamArtist I'm not defending piracy, but your points don't really stand.
1. You won't steal one, but you would take one if it was offered for free. Anyone would
2. People have different tastes.
Also a lot of people pirate because they have nowhere to buy games. Game stores are non-existent where I live, and the few games for sale in super markets are overtly-priced (60 euros for vanilla PC Skyrim), whereas online distribution systems impose ridiculous limitations. For instance Arkham Asylum is not available in my country, period. Xbox live and PSN are not supported, so they only work if you are lucky, etc etc.
Yes piracy is bad, and everyone should try to at least buy the games they really like, if they can't afford all the games they play, but there are to sides two everything.
