Dear Crytek, this is no place for a horse.

@ShadowOfKratos Its a popular trend for big game publishers. Remember when EA said players are "enjoying and embracing" microtransactions?

@Megawizard @aeterna789 I think Vigil games had a different version of the bible when they made this game. =p

War & Death are there but Pestilence (horseman with bow as weapon) was replaced by Strife (gun as a weapon). Famine was replaced by Fury.

@Hurvl @Stebsis EA is the 4 horsemen combined:

War: They just love making their military shooters
Death: It's where game franchises go to die
Pestilence: When EA markets a game it spreads faster than the plague.
Famine: Constant DLC and microtransactions will leave you in poverty.

I just realized, if Strife is the next horseman to follow, and Crytek having a history of FPS games. They might try and make this into an FPS which would be a very bad idea. Strife would be better of with a DMC type of gameplay.

I have no problems with Crytek tough I do have problems with their choice of publisher (EA). Hopefully, if they do purchase the IP for Darksiders, they get a different publisher for it. Otherwise, we would have another murdered franchise.

Guess we can expect half the maps, guns, vehicles and campaign to be locked for the day one DLC that goes along with it. May be some microtransaction on the side?

Origin looks pretty nice in my opinion, I like how it presents itself. Aside from that however, the Sales on Origin is a complete joke. Sales rarely appear on origin while its competitor gives daily, weekend, mid-week, week-long, deals. The highest discount we can hope for in Origins is 70% while Steam gives out 75%. Finally, Steam offers "bundled" franchises which includes all DLCs (sometimes even prequel games) for a serious discount on top of the already existing price cut. I have yet to see a franchise sale on Origins.

Finally, they should make an analysis on how many games per user has on their library. I'm willing to bet Origin users might have 1 or 2 games there while Steam users have more.

Only a matter of time before the Sniper Elite franchise goes with annual releases.
