Well for your first FF, I wouldn't suggest FFXII.. It's not because it's bad or anything. Only, FFXII has basically a slight (some people find it significant) difference in gameplay compared to other final fantasy. I think that FFXII is like an single player MMORPG version - which doesn't make sense, but has been prooved working pretty well. As I mentioned before, FFVII or FFIX will be a good option. I'm sure you will like other FFs if you like either one of those. But really, if you read reviews and other infos about the FFs, you might be more sure which one to choose.

bloody roar 3 / 4 ....

I don't really like fighting genres that much. Well sometimes playing it with friends is kinda fun (although I lose most times...) But bloody roar is just so entertaining, the combo and beast stuffes if u know what i mean lol...

I might disagree on this, I don't think a lot of people regret buying an rpg game just for collection. Beside that it gives some ppl personal satisfaction, and in my case, I often played again after a year or so.

But hey, I agree that those party games are hell load of fun!! I rarely play them anymore. But I used to play games like poy2, bishi bashi special, and other party/multiplayer. And yeah, i think wii is doing an awesome job on that part. There's this little bubble tea shop near my area, they have a nintendo wii with that 4 player sport game (i forgot what it is called). And it really hit the nail!! People just love spending time while playing it with friends. Therefore, i think it's worth the money buying those party games. But here is the thing. I found it that people rarely have the time to set up a certain place and time to gather with friends and play this party game together. That's just my perspective.

Oblivion as in Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion?

No, i think oblivion is more like rpg/adventure style. The game type i'm looking for is more like rpg/strategy where for instance you take control of a country/army. You got knights/heroes, armies of soldiers/monsters, to fight other countries/enemies. The battle is usually turn based with grids as the movement coordinates; such as brigandine, or ff tactics.

It's sure hard to fight 2nd gilga at lv45 =P Anyways, I think...
