Ahhh hair-brained fan theories.. gotta love em. I had one myself a while back. I thought Zelda's and Link's role as heroes of wisdom and courage had actually switched. Still think its much better than this one.

Wasnt Gannondorf a male gerudo? Wouldnt he have to have the appropriate size, skin and hair color?

The only way i could think this idea'd be interesting is if it were a prequel of OoT and it would be a completely different style of game. I dont see Gannon being the type to scour through caves and ruins to find tools and artifacts that opens doors or bypass obstacles. More likely he'll order a swarm of Moblins to clear it out and bring back whatever's there that has any use. After he fatally strikes the one who tries to run with lightning bolt.

Im not immediately wowed by floating continents. Its cool i guess but it really comes down to what they do with it. If it basically just functions as shrines with a new coat of paint then its pretty stupid. Of course i realize it could go the other direction and they came up with some of the most awesome gameplay mechanics imaginable but this definitely isnt the case more often than not. I know a few high demand fan requests were a playable Zelda, legit dungeons and water mechanics. So far they havent decided to showcase any of that.

6 deserves more attention than any of these other ones and they need to do a complete remake, not just a cleaned up port.

I mean... the games were nothing but a deliberate collection of well known stereotypes and action movie folklore. With just a pinch of martial arts and a dash of horror stirred in. Its just not really movie material by itself. They literally took Enter the Dragon's plot with the first game. I suppose a lot of that kind of stopped at just the second game and that is of course probably why this series really started to lose steam at 3, it had to tell its own story by then. Robot ninjas, face painted natives and overweight swat guys.... genius.

Uhh yeah controls were a major issue with me on consoles. I tried it, wasnt impressed at all. Definitely feels unplayable at higher levels because well... it matters where and when exactly you place that meteor, its not something that can just be auto-targeted. I remember in Diablo 2 the enemies can close distance on you so fast, you barely have time to react.

The sad thing is that i do actually think its possible to make it work on a controller but definitely not the way they did it for Diablo 3.

Well um no, i think i have the opposite opinion and sorry if i wasnt clear on that. I was totally not interested in seeing how things play out, watching the Champions and Link lose, i already know that happens with the regular story and figured time-traveling offered an excuse for something different. In general i dont appreciate videogames story elements ignoring player performances and forcing a villain victory. A prequel game will be very anoying for me because of that.

Impression i got from the reviewer was the game just cuts off right before they lose and doesnt adress it at all.

Ok so spoiler question but i guess probably no one knows this yet...

The little time-traveling chibi Guardian doesnt completely change history and allow the player to steam-roll Ganon? Because while playing the demo, that was the impression i got and figured that was the entire point for having it in the story at all. But i suppose this review heavily implied nothing changed... if so, yes that is annoying. Say whatever you want about time traveling shenanigans if you think its stupid but then again, playing a prequel videogame leaves little choice anyway.

That said, Warriors games purpose wasn't really for story as i remember them (its been a while).
