Yeah, it was boring as hell. when I watch sci fi, I want explosions, casualties, and a fight for survival. The movie was just bland. I've seen that story a thousand times already, I don't need an alien attached to it.

Equally as much, I like to state my opinions on movies with out some skinny jean-wearing movie geek thinking he's superior because he 'knows" what makes a good flick.

If it was a cash grab, they would've made it. Making that movie would be a privilege. There are a lot of people who love the story and characters. They would go crazy if some director didn't stay within the spirit of the universe.
