@Liquid-San @anzelm And he can't honestly have that many games left before retirement. It'll be interesting to see what happens to Nintendo game development after he is gone. Can it take a completely different turn with someone new at the rudder?
@Poodger Maybe it is because all of their great franchises is first party and I guess there is a limit to how many games they can keep in the pipe so to speak.
Nintendo need better third party support but obviously have a hard time getting it, unfortunately.
@GSJones1994 @corrus Actually it's GTA 4 that is the highest scoring title of all time according to Metacritic. Mario Galaxy is in second place.
I could almost buy the reasoning if it weren't for one thing. I have played Zelda, Zelda 2, A link to the past, Ocarina of time, minish cap, twilight princess, links awakening, phantom hourglass and wind waker. I have played almost every Mario game there is. And even though I love those franchises I'm getting tired with them and I want something new. The settings might be new but the core mechanics and premiss of the games is always the same. In zelda you go to the same kind of temples, fetching the same kind of weapons, defeat the bosses in the same way ( during the third phase every time using the weapon you just found).
Is it possible to actually find another way to develop mario beside give him a new suit?
I'm tired of playing shooters like cod because it is the same all over every time and I'm tired of playing Zelda and Mario because imo it is the same all over every time.
@shloob1 So if, god forbid, MS servers get hacked like Sonys did those adults would want a system that's unplayable for a time. Or they would like a system that isn't playable when they go to their summer houses without internet for the summer? I'm not so sure about that. Well I'm not one of them.
