@ADO300 Maybe they did but on the other hand if Nintendo hadn't screwed Sony over in the last minute there wouldn't be a playstation in any other way than as an add-on for SNES.

@sam628 It's not Sony sueing. It's former sony inventor Seijiro Tomita. Sony has nothing to do with this.

@mario113 @corrus Actually they can IF they patent that idea. I guess the patent need to be rather specific. If the actual tech used infringes on the tech described in the patent Ninendo will have to pay. If it doesn't they need not pay.

If the subscriptions would allow access to older games it might be interesting, otherwise I don't know. Well since it's hypothetical I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
