One thing you can try first is if you have another SD card lying around (doesnt matter what size under 2gb) just to see if the Wii will recognize it. If it does then its your SD card...if the Wii does not recognize the different SD card then its a problem with the port itself and you will have to talk to a service rep at Nintendo to get it repaired.
Are you able to place that SD card into your computer/laptop? If so, try that to see if Windows will recognize the card. If it does, then try to copy its contents into a temporary folder (just create one on your desktop or something). at least then, your data is backed up. You can try to format the SD card there or in the Wii...format it, put it back in your computer to restore the information and try it in your Wii and see if it will work.
I would absolutely love it if Chrono Trigger made it to the DS. All they would have to do is convert the game to DS code and remap the buttons for the DS. They dont even necessarily need to use the touch screen however that would be a definite plus. Added material or not, I would buy it.
Makes me wonder though...seeing how Square is progressing with the remakes and whatnot, it looks like they are going in order of game release. FFIV remake for the DS was released in Japan 21 Dec i think, and am really hoping it comes out soon for the US. Rumors have flown about in regards to future remakes of V and VI and should that be the case...FFVI came out before Chrono trigger therefore we would see it after FFVI. That is however, simply just optimistic speculation.
The DS only has a limited amount of writeable space designed to store system based functions found in the DS configurations menu. Every game that has a save feature saves locally on the cartridge. Just curious, which game is not saving properly and did you buy it retail or on ebay?
I havent come across any DS games that have been forged and whatnot...only GBA games and of those GBA games...not a single one saved properly at all. (i got unlucky with two bids on ebay where the cartridges were forged...got my money back though)
You go through missions and side missions in FFXII:RW. After each mission's completion, it tallies up all itmes, money and exp. You generally get a good chunk of experience after each mission. If you loose, the game isnt exactly over...you get a little exp per player and get to start over. If a character dies but mission is a success...they will get a lower portion of exp. You gather resources used to create new weapons during your missions.
Simply kill anything and everything that moves but leave 1 group alive to get all the resources you didnt get. It does get a bit confusing from time to time and there is slowdown in gameplay when large groups enter the screen. Only other annoyance with the game is that sometimes, enemies and monsters inadvertantly hide behind pillars and other structures and you will have a hard time selecting them. Beyond those points...it is a very solid game. A definite must have.
[QUOTE="aries8269"][QUOTE="Koinuboy"]Weird thing about my battery is that I didn't turn my DS on for I think a year and a half and then I decide to turn it back on to play a little and it's completely full. Anyone know if Nintendo made magic batteries that doesn't lose power over time?Arnalion
Unlike the PSP, the DS was designed so that battery power would not bleed during periods of time that it is off. How annoying is it for us PSP owners that forget to charge our PSPs and they become fully depleated. Gotta reset the date and time along with other things. Nintendo wanted to avoid that.
You usually have a backup battery for system settings just like your computer has.
Unfortunately, that isnt the case with either PSP or DS. The DS reset its settings on me when I changed batteries out one time. Wish that was a feature built in however...having opened the PSP to replace a screen, I have absolutely no idea where they would put such a batter like the CMOS battery for computers. It is so tightly compacted inside the casing of the PSP that it wouldnt fit anywhere.
