Only Nintendo fanboys would find this "cool".Jazunn

And I suppose if someone suggested that Sony have their own kind of version, you would think it cool...or would you call people Sony fanboys for thinking it cool? Growing up with Nintendo, I think it would be a pretty cool idea though I highly doubt we will see it. I would find it interesting if each system had their own GH version (Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft with their respective systems) however that would lend itself to be a console war thing and the flames would never go out.

Definitely sounds like an excellent suggestion however it will be difficult for them to make changes now that wont cause the production to be delayed. An SD card expansion slot would definitely work wonders for expandability and allow people to tailor the songs to their liking as well as open up possibilities for DLC. I think though that it would require a seperate menu to have the game interface with the GBA slot add-on on the proper level to pull songs. I would definitely support the addition of such an ability, even if it meant that the game's release got pushed back.

force feedback would be cool but not sure how much it would add to the experience for a handheld. I suppose it would be cool.

Simple answer to will it play is yes.

Extended answer, the games for the DS are not region coded except for China (due to more characters in the chinese language). That means that you can buy a DS from United States, a game from Japan, a game from Europe, and a game from the United States (or any combination thereof plus other locations im not mentioning except for China) and they will all play nice with eachother.

If you go to www.guitarheroontour.com, it has an interactive interface that shows the connection of the add-on with the DS (DS lite shown). If it is a true representation, you should be able to decide for yourself if it looks like it will be compatible. Personally, I do not beleive the circuit leads from the add-on will reach far enough into the old DS GBA port.

I beleive the pre-order price is $49.99. I am most definitely interested in it however before buying, I want to know the track list before buying the game.

I think that the actual game mechanics will work quite well. I say maybe because I want to know what songs will be on it (not just some of the bands). The songs will be the selling factor for me.

I think they could have done more with it however imagine this one...it cant be updated. The PSP can at least be updated through firmware updates but what you get from the store is what you are stuck with until it goes out of style (which im sure it already has). It doesnt support a lot of features that websites have and wont be updated to be able to view those features. It is also quite slow.

The novlety of it would say yes...albiet gimmicky
the actual application of it and worthlessness...its a no.

overall...no

What country are you in and where did you get your DS from? How long have you had the DS (and thus been charging it with that noise)? If you are plugging into a higher rated power outlet than the AC adapter is capable of taking in, you may be damaging your DS.

Its been said but Ill say it as well. That is no where near normal. Normal operation of the AC adapter when charging the DS is done in silence. You will definitely want to check that out because you could damage your DS permanently.
