First there was nothing, in our 3D dimensions anyway. There was other stuff, and energy in other dimensions. These something from other dimensions banged together, and spewed a load of stuff in our 3 dimensions.

One one hand you have truth. On the other you have lies. And finally you have statistics.

For all you so-called hardcore gamers. You were once casuals, and now you are hardcore. One day you will become a casual with more important matters in life to attend to, but still with a love of gamer. You will no longer buy 10 games a month, but maybe 5-10 a year. You will not mind your kids playing video games. Most casuals now, we probably once hardcore (70's, 80's,90's). They now have spending power, and they are important to the market. You need casuals who will encourage the makings of the next generation of hardcore gamers. Without one or the other there would be no gaming market. Nintendo has show that there are a lot of profit to be made from casuals, and some of these casuals will one day be hardcore, keeping the market alive.

Different platforms, different criteria. A 9.0 game on a DS is no way as advanced as a 9.0 PS3/360 game etc. It is all about what the system is capable of at the time of at the time of the review and how the game compares with this standard. It is like PC and console games, a PC game that need high requirements will probably get a lower even if it runs smoothly, whilst this is not a consideration for consoles. A lot is due to expectations of the reviewer, and also how it compares with similar type of games for the same console (if any). It can also be said that which console version was reviewed first also has some effect, as the second time round, much of the "newness" of the game will be gone. It is all opinion of the review, you may agree or you may not, in the end read the review, you like it buy it, you don't then don't buy it.

Who cares? The games are fun...Ganon_919
Who cares? Not Nintendo, they make lots of money, to a business, thats all that counts. M$ and $ony go the hi-tech way, thinking thats what the market wants. Nintendo don't. In the end all each company is concerned about is profit and market share.
