@Silver17: If there is cross-play you will have the option to only play with other people on the same platform. Every game that has cross-play with PC on Xbox gives you the option to do that, PUBG will be no different.
@lostn: If she believes there are no issues and she's doing this great job even though this years Xbox Line-up was easily the worst in its history then she's the problem. If she doesn't recognize there are issues, and what they are, she can't correct them.
@Greyfox-101: It's definitely releasing this year, it's launching in MS's game Preview Program so it doesn't have to be "finished" for it to release. I'd guess the last week of November or first week of December.
Where are the RPG exclusives? This is a very popular genre that MS seems to be not making a big push in, why?
MS built a MP fanbase on LIVE with shooters. Why are there no new IP in those MP genres from Xbox, just more Halo and Gears? I understand they want to diversify their game "portfolio", but why no new IP in the most popular genres?
2017 saw the release of only 2 AAA 1st party games from MS, Halo Wars 2 and Forza 7, this is the consoles fourth year on the market, why isn't the Xbox One hitting its stride in exclusives? This should be when the console shines in terms of graphics and exclusives. How is this not considered the worst line-up from Xbox in its entire history?
There are clearly problems with Microsft's 1st party game production, does she know what the issues are and what will she be doing to correct them?
Anytime I start hearing the words "cautious", "understandable", and "we're taking great care" from developers my BS alarms go off. Just a bunch of nonsense telling us what we want to hear when really nothing has changed.
She's out of touch, you can see where their 1st party exclusives and studio issue's originate from. If the person managing all of them doesn't see the problem, then they can't correct it.
Another thing is MS latches on to a game like PUBG, gets a bit of timed "console" exclusivity and thumps their chest like they made the game happen. PUBG is already on Steam, and will eventually make its way to PS4, who the **** cares that we get the privilege to buy it before some one else.
Here's to another 4 years with Halo 7, Forza 9, Gears 5, and Forza Horizon 5...
@7tizz: What killed Kinect is that the motion gaming fad had passed by. Add on top of that developers having trouble finding ways to make a compelling gameplay experiences with it outside of waving your arms around. It never had a killer game for it that enticed hardcore gamers to give it a chance. Also, MS was the only company supporting Kinect, it had a limited consumer market. It wasn't just the trolls, it was gimmick gaming, and technology that would have been better suited outside of gaming.
