@locke90: You do realize which games become BC, and in what order, are entirely dependent upon the publishers agreeing to have their game become BC and being able to get the lincensing for those games worked out, right? And they can't just can't skip the higher voted games to the front of the line and stop working on other developers games that are already in the process of becoming BC.
MS has already stated they would love to have every game BC, and in the order of the most popularly voted upon titles, but there's too many things out of their control for it to work that way.
@Thanatos2k: If you really think some random reading your comment is going to heed your advice, you are delusional. Do you ever read some one elses random comment and say, "I'll take that persons advice and do that instead"? No, you don't, you buy and do what you are interested in, not what some random idiot on the internet says.
This will actually make the marketing for the Xbox One X easier for MS. Instead of the casual gamers and people who don't keep up to date on gaming news being confused on what the difference between the One S and the One X is, people will now know 'product X' as a premium product.
This isn't going to be console exclusive to the Xbox One, if it was MS would be screaming about that only on X1 exclusivity. It will be exclusive while it is in Xbox's early access Game Preview program, Sony doesn't have one, but the full release will be on PS4 as well.
Bet this releases November 7th so MS can try to add to their amazing launch line-up of Super Lucky's Tale. Pathetic that MS isn't even supporting their own console's launch with any AAA games. Phil's doing such a great job, I mean what else could we say when Xbox orginally had 6 AAA games slated for 2017 and only have 2 of them rlease in 2017. Bravo Phil, Bravo.
Hope the One X fails so we can get someone as head of Xbox that actually knows what they are doing. Don F'n Mattrick never had a line-up this bad. It says a lot when the new Head of Xbox is making Don F'n Mattrick look like he knew what he was doing.
@Bigjoe275: It's too bad they don't, shelling out $500 for a console when MS isn't even making an effort in the games department. I'll actually wait until they support their console before I support them, but hey keep rewarding them for doing as little as possible.
@graffitiheart: I don't care about who has the more powerful console, if I did I'd build a PC, I'm here for the games. This console has been on the market for 4 years now, Xbox should be hitting their stride in games, Playstation is. Enjoy your 3rd party games, but hey now that you have more pixels that's makes the game better right? Suddenly a crap games becomes good when it's in 4K?
@maximo: I actually prefer MS games, as I prefer MP gaming, single player stuff doesn't really keep me interested for very long. I don't care who sells more, whose teraflops are bigger, I'm here to play games and Forza 7 and Halo Wars 2 is the weakest line-up in Xbox history as Phil would say. You know MS released more1st party games in 3 years on the 360 than they have in the 4 years on the One, and that since Phil took over 1st party output has declined to record lows? MS is currently in a 6 month drought of releasing a game that will last another 2 months, after Forza 7 release it will be another 7 months before we see another AAA game from them. This is the consoles 4th year on the market they should be hitting their stride with games like their competitor is. There is clearly a big issue in their funding or backing from MS leadership.
How do you launch a new console with 1 AAA exclusive in a niche genre like sim-racing, when you are getting killed in sells already? Bad managment and planning? No money for games? Situation seems pretty dire. Maybe when MS starts supporting its own console I'll buy it, hope other people do the same.
