@7tizz: For starters they could quit shoving one one out the door every single year so they could have time to stop and think. It would also allow for time to get fans wanting more Call of Duty, rather than constantly being force-fed a new one every year.

And what they could do to lay off the whole "save the world" routine is to place it back in a historical war. Just think of how epic a WW2 shooter on this gens consoles and a several year development could be.

To me it looks like the multiplayer is trying to emulate the arena shooters of the late 90s and early 2000s, but it doesn't make the leap to all out arena shooter. It just looks like the game, at least the multiplayer, has an identity problem.

Its Identity issues look like they persist with the campaign too. I mean think about it; isn't kind of sad that a spin-off zombie campaign is better than the normal one?

@7tizz: I've bought most of them used for like 15-20 bucks. And though they are not totally identical the differences in the games are either not worth mentioning small, or steps in the wrong direction. It has been down hill since Black Ops IMO.

The fact that this game even exists makes me sad for humanity.

There are few more greedy practices than microtransactions. I really like Halo 5; it's great, but that doesn't blind me to how pathetic this is. Microtransactions have no place in the gaming industry. Gaming was doing quite f***ing well before those accursed little payments entered the scene; it would be healthier if they were gone.

Making people pay for content that they already f***ing bought is frankly disgusting. But then of course we always get the corporate BS publicity turd shoved down our throat with the whole "Development costs so much more than it used to, thus we make you pay twice" yeah sure that's the only possible reason. This is the same as going to the movies , buying your ticket and popcorn, sitting down to watch the latest big-budget blockbuster, and half way in they ask you to pay a few extra bucks to be able to hear the sound for the rest of the movie. After all, movies cost more than ever to produce now too, why not pay a little extra to help out those struggling devs?

But perhaps the thing I can't stand the absolute most about microtransactions is the chumps who defend them. These people are proof a sucker is born every minute. They always pull out the same arguments; either the same one as corporate BS excuse or the other one. The other one being "If you don't want it, don't buy it" believe me I'm NOT! But my not having ever bought one in my life hasn't made them go away, it takes everyone realizing the insidious nature of those seemingly innocent little payments for them to go away. They need to be actively discouraged and shamed before they go even farther than they have. If they continue at their currant rate we WILL be paying for multiplayer and singleplayer individually. And who knows what else!

Rant over!
