None of you guys are among them (at least that I know of) but I'm fed up with being belittled for liking screamo/metalcore/hardcore/etc. Their shenanigans ends now, and I'm kinda apathetic about possibly getting modded for defending myself. So if I myseriously stop posting, you guys will probably know why.

This is mainly directed at my fellow Christians, but I think many of you guys who are Agnostics or Atheists may appreciate this.

I think homosexuality is morally wrong but that many Christians have taken the sin too far. It is an abomination and I won't try to hide that fact, but the sin is no worse than any sin you do. You are in NO WAY better than them. AT ALL. They have a battle against sin to fight just as we all have a battle against sin to fight. Did Jesus get mad at the prostitutes or tax collectors? (Ancient equivalent of modern homosexuality.) No he didn't. He ate with them, comforted them, and kindly told them to repent of their sins and to follow Him. You know who He did get mad at? The Pharisees. (Ancient equivalent of us. That's right, us.) If we were all honest with ourselves, we would know we are no better than the Pharisees. Quite frankly, we are no better than ANYONE. We should not be pointing fingers like they did, we should be coming to the homosexual community with open arms. We need to help them come back to Christ, not judge them for their sin. What does it accomplish, anyway, to sit and point fingers at those who sin? Are we not sinners in need of a savior just like them? Who are we to judge them? God is the only truly righteous judge on this earth. He will deal with their sin, we need to deal with their pain. We need to mourn with them, laugh with them, talk with them, and, most importantly, share Jesus Christ with them. Isn't that all Jesus wants anyway?

I'm thinking about forming a union for refuge from the metal elitists. So anybody who is fan of either of those genres, comment me here and I'll send you an officer request. And for those of you who don't know what metalcore is...

It also states that screamo is a genre of music which predominantly evolved from hardcore punk, among other genres, in the early 1990s. The term "screamo" was initially applied to a more aggressive offshoot of emo that developed in San Diego in 1991, which used short, chaotically executed songs which grafted "spastic intensity to willfully experimental dissonance and dynamics,"[4] often with a political message. In the early 2000s, the genre name began to describe a different, slower and less dissonant style that borrowed from alternative rock. The term's application to the "second wave" is controversial among fans and practitioners of the earlier style.[5] One musician observed that the term "has been kind of tainted in a way, especially in the States".[6]

Famous examples of metalcore nowadays include August Burns Red, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, Killswitch Engage, etc.

Famous examples of screamo nowadays are Underoath, Alexisonfire, Thursday, Senses Fail (?), Blindside, etc.

I'm thinking about whether I should ask my friend to the banquet (essentially, my school's version of a prom). She's really sweet, (both as in she's really cool and really nice ) she's drop dead gorgeous, doesn't like sappy romance movies , laughs at pretty much every attempt i do to make her laugh, and well... I just don't know. My family and I (correct gramatically?) have agreed that I probably shouldn't be dating anyone in high school, and my agreement to this is weak at best. This girl has had so many absolute d-bags just totally screw over her kindness, her beauty, etc. and I just feel like she needs better. For the longest time I've wanted a really good girl-friend, and even though she's leaving in nine weeks, I think she fits what I want in a girl-friend (and girlfriend!). So, should I ask her to this banquet? What do you guys think?

Oh and Memento, is now my 4th favorite movie. [spoiler] I noticed about 30 minutes in that the film was going in reverse, but I was under the impression he had in fact not found his wife's murderer. I was totally thrown off when I learned that Natalie was a jerk, and I thought it was weird initially that Leonard kills Teddy at the beginning. But every second of it was extremely exciting, and yet again Christopher Nolan shows off his impressive directing skills. Now I'm gonna go watch Shawshank Redemption and Catch Me If You Can. [/spoiler]

I've failed three times before so I hope I'll get it this time. I've taken 10 practice tests online and passed all but one. I just need to make sure I skip any questions that I don't know and not have any stupid guesses. Wish me luck! (Although there's no such thing! :P)

Oh and I'm sick of the music elitist crap I'm seeing on OT recently. It's really freaking annoying. I posted what my favorite bands were on a thread with the same title and one other user wrote that he loved Paramore. (No, not sammy! lol) And another user made fun of his taste by saying Paramore was terrible. I came to the other dude's defense by saying "What the hell is wrong with Paramore?" He then went on to say "They're bad, along with all of the bands you posted." That just made me more aggravated. So I went on to tell him to shove his elitist crap on someone else. He went on to say it was merely "my opinion" that he was being elitist, though it was quite obvious he was. I hate music elitism so much! :evil: (Minus elitism towards The Jonas Bros, Miley Cyrus, etc. essentially anything on Disney Channel. :P)

Seriously, I don't even understand how in the world it works. It claims that a pic that is 160x120 is too large to be put in my sig. :| Wha??? And my avatar... I tried editing the image even smaller and it still wouldn't accept it. It aggravates me! :evil:
