In reality, most of these statistics, whether they be cops killing blacks or blacks killing blacks, have way more to do with poverty then anything else. Many on here have said "when are blacks going to address the staggering numbers of how often they kill themselves," but the fact is you do not see this sort of violence elsewhere in the world with any middle class or higher ethnic/people groups. Simply put, when people are poor, they are way more likely to commit crime. Then factor in the mass deportation of jobs that happened in the 50s and 60s with car companies and the like where black families were actually advancing themselves out of poverty, and then the gang element comes in, fostered by America's war on drugs (which in truth is a war on minorities), and you have a recipe for disaster where an entire people group is systemically oppressed.

Yes, several times in fact.
One particular occasion was particularly intriguing. There was a friend of mine, I'd call her my younger sister essentially, and she was getting cyber bullied online by an anonymous Facebook account. Once I private messaged that account asking for the person to refrain, the account proceeded to then harass myself. And it did not stop with me. There were well over a dozen people, mainly girls, getting sexual solicitations (mind you, they were anywhere from 14-17) from this account. But I thought of a different method of bringing this user down. My investigative reporter/detective type friend (envision Rust from True Detective if he was a libertarian and always wear flannels and Carharts) lured him to a page where his and only his IP and my buddy would show (we assumed the culprit was local). Sure enough, we flagged down the kid's IP address, notified his parents, (he was 18, I was 19) and had a cinematic interrogation with my buddy's opening line being "Does the name ________ _______ mean anything to you?"
Suffice to say, it actually ended up being pretty badass. :P
Alright, I need help OT folks: I have been drawing upon and listening to the same ole tunes for the past several months, and I need to listen to something new. In terms of what I already love, 80s music is high up there, as is hip hop, as is hardcore music in all of its varieties. I also like classic heavy metal at times as well.
What do you suggest?
And by taste, I primarily the arts, ie film, games, music, etc.
For me, I would put myself at a 6. There are certain genres I will altogether avoid, and yet I will also find myself enjoying certain films, songs/bands, or games I would never have thought I would like. Some examples include Adventureland (film), fun. (band), and FIFA.
For the most part, however, I would say I am pickier then most people I know, but probably not by much. What do you guys think? How picky are you?
I just kinda clear my mind and do it tbh, not really sure how to instruct anyone on it. I used to need music to allow me to gain the peace I needed, so maybe try that, but now the sounds of nature are more than enough.
This. For me, for now, taking a walk while listening to peaceful music specifically puts me at ease.
I'm sure you could look up Buddhist, Christian, or any other religious styles of meditations which might help as well.
Relationships, society, science, religion, etc?
Expanded a little further: what are the base reasons you get out of bed in the morning and continue living.
