Faye agrees to go search for antennae that could transmit to the satellite and Jet says that he'll look into major hackers.

While they're gone, Ed hacks into the Bebop's computer and realizes that Faye and Jet are looking for a hacker on Earth. She sets up her own search and find the hacker, who speaks to her.

The voice that Ed is talking to is the satellite control program on the D-135 artificial satellite. After introducing herself (Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky IV), she gives the program the name MPU. MPU tells Ed that he doodled on earth because long ago, pictures like those that he drew used to be on the earth. Ed asks if she can also draw on the earth, but before MPU can answer, a jamming signal enforced by the police cuts off their communication. Ed then contacts the Bebop, explaining who the hacker is. Ed explains that, in order to stop the satellite, someone would need to go directly to the satellite and break the antennae that it uses to contact other satellites. She warns that if the Bebop is flown with computers, MPU will detect their presence and fire back at them.

Spike tries to approach MPU as Ed directs, but fails. As a result, Spike and Faye have to dodge the lasers of many satellites. Ed contacts Jet and tells him that Spike needs to get within 20 meters of the satellite - that way, the other satellites won't fire because they might hit it. Spike succeeds and transfers MPU to Ed's computer. Also as part of the deal, Ed joins the crew of the Bebop.
