Steam sales are always great, kind of justifies the extra cash you put down for a nice PC. It is a bit disheartening to see games go on sale when you just bought them recently though.
I think if people could get their hands on their favourite Nintendo titles without having to purchase another piece of hardware to do it, then they would be a lot happier & a lot richer.
I've got a friend with a Wii U & he's been pretty disappointed with the lack of games available to him over the past year.
There's usually a little bit of truth hidden in every conspiracy theory. I highly doubt anyone is getting paid for specific review scores, but there are other factors to consider. If a certain reviewer gives a game a low score, that publisher may be less inclined to give them a review copy for their next game. However with big sites like Gamespot, a publisher can't really afford to lose the potential coverage by boycotting big players.
If you want to see some real censorship blown wide open, just look at the issue with Total Biscuit & Day One: Garry's Incident.
I tried Rocksmith to gamify learning the guitar. It didn't really work.
It was like, "cool, I just finished this song - next." But I had just played it real badly. I don't feel it was as useful as sitting down & learning a song riff by riff. Also because of its terrible PC interface (that I waited so long for), it didn't really make me want to play.
