There was a great parody article in the Civilian about how games are causing young people to run errands for people for little to no reward. Too many fetch quests are causing kids to charitably help out strangers. What is the world coming to?!
It's kind of getting old... people complaining about scores given to games they haven't played yet.
How do you know it's worth 10/10? Have you played through the whole campaign? The time & money doesn't matter, just look at Guns 'n' Roses' album the Chinese Democracy, he took over a decade to make it but it turned out pretty average. If you want to know whether or not to buy a game, take a look at a few reviews, listen to the actual comments they make & make your own decision. You don't have to complain when one site (or all the sites) don't agree with you. If you think they're wrong, but make a case for the argument, personal insults don't convince anyone.
@Cypress131 @aci808 Yeah, but the point is they are recommending a lot more than past titles. The numbers certainly aren't even but the direction is up.
@jinzo9988 @Tzap Well it's GDDR5 so it should be pretty quick.
You're absolutely right though, there's not only the speed of the RAM, but the speed of the bus it's running off. Also for example 4 sticks of 2GB can access the data faster than 2 sticks of 4GB.
All lies & coverups to throw us off the scent of the under the table payoffs!!!
It's actually nice to see some transparency. Most of what Danny said is fairly obvious, but it's nice to see it explained for the less intelligent out there. (This is where you agree & bemoan all the OTHER unintelligent folks who are definitely not yourself.)
I gave in & pre-ordered on PS3. Coming from mostly PC gaming, the textures are pretty horrible. There's a small amount of pop-in but it's not too bad. Driving around the city looks OK but all the cutscenes with the main characters walking around really jump out as being pretty boring bland textures.
Free aiming with a mouse would certainly make the shooting more of a challenge as well. There's no way I'm switching to free aim with the Dualshock 3 though.
Seriously, it's quite annoying when the game keeps popping up with messages telling me I can do stuff with the app when the Android one isn't available yet.
@tightwad34 @bbq_R0ADK1LL I like how appropriate your name is for this comment.
I considered waiting for a PC release which I would be able to get a bit cheaper, but I think I will definitely get value out of this game. Prices like this are a huge reason for me mostly switching away from console games though. NZ pricing is a total rip-off.
