It makes sense that release games won't use the full capabilities of a console. Just look at The Last of Us compared to Heavenly Sword. Look at any game early in the life of a console compared to mid-late life games. Even though it's X86, there will still be some time of getting used to getting the most out of a console.
EA just think they know better than everyone, don't they?
Recently we changed internet providers at my flat & I was stuck with no internet fr a whole week. Luckily I didn't die because I had plenty of games that I could play offline. Steam & Uplay both let me go offline to play the games that I had paid for. If I only had online games to play, I might have had to go outside & play in the rain, I would have probably got hypothermia & died.
Sleeping Dogs was really amazing, my personal GOTY for last year. The world was awesome to run/drive around in, it was well designed & really immersive. The story & gameplay was great as well. A sandbox focused more on melee combat than gunplay was a fresh change too. I hope they make more games like this.
@Slim_Lyrics The Indigo Prophesy (or Fahrenheit, depending on your region) was good as well. Obviously a little bit dated & the quick-time type stuff was still early days experimental but I thought the story was good & playing both the detective & the guy she was chasing made for some interesting gameplay. If you like David Cage at all, I recommend trying this game.
I'm honestly surprised this hasn't been implemented earlier. I know there are some pretty major differences between devices but it's good to see someone has finally done it. My second PS3 controller has stopped working & I'm not about to fork out for another one at the tail end of the generation so it's good that the barrier to entry has dropped.
I just lost all interest in Elder Scrolls Online. That's a shame.
I'm not big on MMOs but I would definitely have liked to get in to this, having put plenty of time into Skyrim. Maybe I'll play the first 3 months, but almost nothing will get me to subscribe to a game. I'm happy to pay an entry price, but trying to milk me for money every month is a barrier I don't think any game can break. There are too many good games to play & I don't think I'll get my moneys worth every month. I have other games that cost me less than $15 that can provide more value to me.
Not really hungry for yet another dose of AC. I'll play it when the price drops a bit. Watchdogs, however, I think I'll be pre-ordering that on PC. It looks like a great new IP & should be all sorts of crazy fun.
Sounds like they stole the assassin management from the AC series. I hope they've found a way to make that system actually fun because it wasn't in Brotherhood or Revelation. It felt more like a chore.
I'm hoping this game is good, but so far it just looks like it has this from Skyrim, that from the Witcher etc. Perhaps there is some innovation to be shown towards release.
