@collingtonuk: That's always been my problem with difficulty in Civ. When the AI is just literally cheating, it makes me not want to play. I mostly just leave it on Prince difficulty because that has always really annoyed me.
@fbplayer1064: I picked up Civ V with G&K and later with BNW. That game really gripped me - like I literally played for 10 hours straight without so much as leaving my chair. Two night in a row!
Civ 6 just failed to grab me at all. I don't think expansions will save it. If I get another Civ itch, I think I'll go back & play V with mods.
@rodoxthedark: The engine is so old, I don't think it can be salvaged. You would think they would have figured out how to use it by now but every game still comes out with major bugs.
They need to bury this game & work on something worthwhile.
Of course, they said the servers will be up until the sun burns out so they'll probably try to rework it. I really think they should cut their losses though, this was a terrible idea from the outset.
Do us all a favour, don't give Bethesda a single cent for this game.
Spend your money on something good & reward a developer for making something worth playing. If you buy this game, you're letting publishers know they can get away with releasing this kind of trash.
This game looks years old & it just came out! It's a buggy mess & a lazy attempt at tapping into the "games as a service" model where they can keep charging players more money for a fraction of the cost of developing a new game.
I'm not mad that they're doing something different with the franchise, Fallout Tactics & Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel were both departures from the mainline RPG series & they didn't hinder them at all. I think it could even be possible to make a good multiplayer Fallout game - I used to be part of a Fallout roleplay message board back in the early 2000's & there are plenty of people who are interested in exploring the lore & roleplaying in that world. 76 is an idea they should have scrapped, or at least not had the gall to build it on an ancient engine & charge full price for it.
@Oren76: I'm not really a fan of the modern Fallouts. I barely played 4 at all. I hope this game fails because it's a lazy cash grab & I don't want to see that kind of thing rewarded.
@andy24king24: The fact that you have an opinion on the score without even playing it shows that your opinion is worth nothing. This is a review, not a hype justification.
The score doesn't matter anyway. Listen to the content, if the few negatives don't bother you, then buy it. Don't whine about a number that means nothing.
@punksterdaddy: I think they should get rid of scores completely. Let people actually read/watch the reviews & comment on the content.
Look at phone reviews, most reviewers don't feel the need to give a score to the Pixel 3 or iPhone XS. They just give the facts & their opinions. Viewers can make up their own minds about the product & not spend all their time arguing over an arbitrary number.
